An expandable mesh web for use with a lacrosse stick head. The head includes a frame member having first and second side walls, each side wall having a proximal end and a distal end. The frame member further has a scoop extending between the distal ends of the side walls, and a stop extending between the proximal ends of the side walls. The expandable mesh web is attached to the frame member, and includes at least two ball channel walls that extend longitudinally along the length off the frame member and are generally thicker and more dense than the rest of the expandable mesh web.

A head for a lacrosse stick that includes a web for receiving a ball, the web being attached to a frame member of the head, and one or more tube-like woven or non-woven polymer shooting string elements extending transversely between side walls of the frame member and through the frame member, to facilitate pocket adjustment. The head may also include one or more tube-like woven or non-woven polymer thong elements extending longitudinally between the scoop and the stop of the frame member.

A shirt is made of light weight, breathable and liquid moisture repellent fabrics. The shirt body includes at least one of two types of stretchable fabric. One type is mono-directionally elastic and the other is orthogonally bi-directionally elastic. The shirt includes one or more gusset panels positioned at or near the hem. The hem of the shirt can be stretched over the coaming of an open cockpit vessel, such as a kayak. Thus the shirt can serve as a combination dry top and spray skirt for a kayak paddler, especially in low to moderate turbulence water conditions. The shirt is comfortable, thin and sufficiently stylish to be worn in activities other than boating, including sporting and non-sporting activities.

Multipurpose garment

A golf club having an elastomer head which is easily constructed of relatively inexpensive components making the club particularly suitable as an introductory golf club for teaching the game of golf to youths, is described. The club comprises a metal insert configured to a desired shape, an elastomeric material molded around the metal insert, and a pad at the back of the striking head. A shaft is attached to the metal insert.

A multi-component, lightweight field hockey stick comprising a plastic head section and a handle fitted into the head section is described. The head section comprises a first flat surface including a flat ball-striking surface and a surface opposite the ball-striking surface so configured to decrease weight and provide increased structural strength. The surface area opposite the ball-striking surface includes an area for receiving a resilient pad. The field hockey stick is particularly useful as a learning or introductory stick for inexperienced players.

A unitary head for a lacrosse stick comprising a frame and webbing, wherein the webbing integrally molded to the head frame has a first ball receiving continuous curvature and a second continuous curvature in the pocket area of the webbing wherein the second curvature has an angle of curvature greater than the first curvature and wherein the side walls of the frame are separated by at least 2 inches in the area of the pocket and the pocket has a maximum depth of 35/8 inches. The lacrosse stick has improved playing characteristics.

A double-wall, synthetic lacrosse stick including tab means for attachment or formation of the web on the head of the lacrosse stick is described. Preferably the tabs, molded integral with the end and side walls of the head, project inwardly from the extreme upper surface of the walls of the head and are substantially flush with this upper surface. Improved durability and enhanced play characteristics are realized.
