An ink box for a stencil duplicator comprises a flexible pouch within a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped carton and having a discharge fitment penetrating the carton and the container. The panel in which the discharge fitting is formed is substantially rectangular and is held substantially flat by two bracing seal lines which are parallel to one another and extend transversely to a longitudinal seal line in which the fitting is sealed. The opposite end of the bag has a gusset defined between short inclined seal lines. A flow inducer fitment within the pouch defines continuous flow paths from the tips of spreader arms of the flow inducer fitment to the discharge fitting.

Dispensing container for highly viscous liquids

A container for housing and dispensing a beverage. The container having a body with a top, a bottom and gussetted sides. The body is defined by flexible walls defining a chamber. The body further has a first tab and a second tab disposed at the top. A fitment is sealed to the body. A drink tube integral to the fitment extends from the fitment into the body.

Beverage container having sealed integral dispensing means

A system is provided for housing a feeding product having an exterior body defining an interior, an interior chamber within the exterior body and a fitment extending from the interior chamber through an opening of the exterior body. A teat assembly is secured about the opening of the exterior body providing access to the feeding product within the interior chamber. The exterior body may be selectively accessed for removal of the interior chamber for disposal and/or replacement thereof. The exterior body may be reused repetitively by replacing the interior chamber with a new chamber containing product.

Aseptic infant feeding system

A container for housing a liquid. The container including a fitment having barrier properties substantially equivalent to the container. To secure the fitment to the container, a sleeve is used to heat seal the fitment to the container. A check valve prohibits reintroduction of the liquid pharmaceutical into the container after dispensing through the fitment. Preferably, a second rigid container is provided for housing the container.

Container having fitment

A pouch and coupler which is used for administering medical products includes a fluid reservoir section and a sterile section, with the coupler positioned within the sterile section. The reservoir being sealed such that the fluid cannot pass through the coupler. The coupler including a projection which extends through a seal into the reservoir so as to provide access through the coupler. The sterile section being openable to provide access to the coupler and provide a passage from the reservoir through the coupler to an administration set. In an alternative embodiment, the coupler includes a projecting poppet which extends through the coupler so as to provide the fluid access.

Pouch for administering medical fluids

A pouch for storing and dispensing liquid product in incremental amounts having a body portion and a pump tube portion, wherein the pouch can be held within a dispensing apparatus for squeezing the pump tube portion to release the incremental amounts. The improved pouch provides a pump tube portion made of thermoplastic polypropylene and butyl terpolymer rubber which can be readily sealed to the body without fitments or couplers. The improved pouch provides a built-in 'duck bill' check valve assembly or alternatively an O-ring check valve assembly, which further reduces the number of parts required as compared to the prior art. The check valve assembly provides a socket connector for mounting a separate nozzle assembly to the check valve assembly. A break-off tab for initially opening the nozzle assembly for dispensing is provided.

Pump tube and pouch

An apparatus and method for loading fluid-filled bags into a box. The apparatus provides a loading arm having pairs of gripping fingers arranged on lateral sides of a bag to be loaded. The gripping fingers compress the bag into a more cubicle shape than a flat relaxed condition. The loading arms are mounted onto a horizontally rotating mechanism which moves the loading arms around a circular pathway in index fashion to four stations including a bag gripping station above a bag transporting conveyor for grabbing and lifting the bag, and a bag loading station aligned above a loaded box conveyor for depositing the bag into a box and disengaging the gripping fingers from the bag. The apparatus and method provide an advantageous loading of a fluid filled bag into a closely conforming box where the bag is adequately supported at the corners. If the bag is provided with a nozzle, the nozzle can be interfit in a relaxed state in a corner of the box.

Method and apparatus for picking up and reshaping a fluid filled bag

A liquid dispensing system providing a housing holding a liquid filled pouch inside, the housing pivotably supporting an actuating arm which is thrust against the pouch by a push button extending outside the housing, the actuating arm having an actuator to compress an upper section of a tubular peristaltic pump section of the pouch for squeezing out an incremental amount of liquid. The tubular peristaltic pumping section provides V-shaped notches arranged on lateral sides of the top section and the bottom section for ease of closure by flattening and other advantages. A check valve having lever arms to resiliently stretch flat a discharge nozzle section at the lower end of the peristaltic pumping tube prevents dripping during non-use. A check valve actuator is provided on the actuating arm to engage with the check valve lever arms to open the discharge nozzle during actuation and a short time thereafter to create a suck-back to remove any drips.

Pouch

An apparatus for sealing and severing a web of film. The apparatus includes a first jaw located on one side of the web of film and a second jaw located on a second side of the web of film. The first and second jaws cooperate to grip the web of film. Located within the first jaw is a heater member for sealing and severing the web of film. The heater member is secured so that the time and/or pressure at which the heater member engages the web of film may be varied independent of the first jaw.

Apparatus for sealing and severing a web of film

The instant invention, is directed to a liquid dispensing system, especially for soap. The system comprises a housing, and a flexible pouch for storing liquid which is held within the housing and which has a discharge nozzle. A mechanism for pumping the liquid from the pouch is operatively associated with the housing. A valve mechanism for checking the flow of the liquid from the pouch includes a mechanism for laterally tensioning the pouch proximate its discharge nozzle so that the tension created is greater than a static pressure head of the liquid in the pouch but less than the dynamic pressure head created by the pumping mechanism.

Liquid dispensing system

An apparatus for attaching fitments a web of film. The apparatus includes an elongated tube, the web of film being passed around at least a portion of the elongated tube. A film puncher and remover for punching at least one hole in the web of film and removing the resultant slug is provided. The web of film passes between the elongated tube and the film puncher and remover. The apparatus also includes a fitment feed member for feeding a fitment from outside the elongated tube to a fitment pick-up position inside the elongated tube. The elongated tube also includes a fitment moving member for moving the fitment from the fitment pick-up position to a fitment attachment position. The fitment attachment position is located so that a portion of the fitment is received by the hole in the web of film. The apparatus also includes a sealer for welding the film to the fitment.

An apparatus for sealing a web of film including a heater member for melting a portion of the film to create side and chevron seals. A back-up bar is located diametric the heater member. The heater member includes two elongated heater bars and two wing heater bars.

Apparatus for sealing a web of film

Dispensing apparatus is attached to a container filled with a fluid and shipped with the container wherein during shipment the dispensing apparatus has two separate seals comprising an operable valve for opening and closing a first passageway, and a sealing member for closing a second passageway and the dispensing apparatus is locked in a closed position. A locking member is provided for preventing accidental movement of the dispensing apparatus and also to provide positive identification that the container has not been tampered with. A self generating pressure applying expandable pouch is located within the container to apply a substantially constant pressure on the fluid so that the fluid may be dispensed from the container. When it is desired to withdraw portions of the fluid from the container, the dispensing apparatus is unlocked and a handle on the dispensing apparatus is moved to an open position to open both seals so that the fluid may flow through the first and second passageways and be withdrawn from the container through a nozzle. The sealing member for the second passageway is locked in the open position so that fluid may be withdrawn from the container as desired. After the fluid has been substantially completely dispensed from the container, a puncture plug is actuated to pierce the expanded pouch so that the pressure may be removed from the expanded pouch and from the container through the dispensing apparatus.
