A cargo management system includes a cargo anchor including a body extending between first and second ends and defining a hook profile along a first plane perpendicular to an axis extending between the first and second ends and a closed loop profile along a second plane parallel to the axis. The system further includes a substrate having an attachment feature with a first portion coupleable with the anchor profile and a second portion coupleable with the loop profile.

A vehicle apparatus comprises an airbag secured to a roof rail of a vehicle and a trim cover. The trim cover has a base member fastened to the roof rail, a flap member, and a living hinge integrally molded between the base and flap members. The flap member rotates on the hinge when the airbag deploys. The flap member also, in a covering position, has a distal edge fastenerlessly clipped to the vehicle.

A side-curtain airbag assembly includes a body structure including a roof rail and a pillar extending downwardly from the roof rail. The roof rail has an upwardly extending side portion and a first ramped surface extending inwardly from the side portion at a downward angle. An airbag is mounted to the side portion above the first ramped surface. A trim component is mounted to the pillar below the first ramped surface and has a face, a top, and a second ramped surface extending outwardly from the top at an upward angle towards the side portion. The first and second ramped surfaces are arranged to form a ramp that guides the airbag during deployment of the airbag. The first ramped surface has a higher yield strength than the second ramped surface.

A cargo management system for a vehicle includes a first pair, a second pair, and a third pair of anchors. The first and second pairs of anchors are positioned adjacent each other and the third pair of anchors is positioned remote from the first pair. The system further includes a flexible substrate having a first pair of attachment features coupleable with the first pair of anchors and a second pair of attachment features selectively coupleable with the second pair or third pair of anchors.

A method of manufacturing a handle intended to be gripped by an occupant of a vehicle is shown to comprise the steps of selecting a substrate including a first part and a second part. The first part and second part are wrapped with a covering material that may be a premium material such as leather and may also include a layer of foam padding. The first part and second part are assembled together and attached to each other. After the two parts are wrapped, the first part and second part are assembled together and attached to each other. A line of stitches may be formed on the covering material before the wrapping step that are wrapped to be visible on the handle.

A seatbelt assembly includes an adjuster having a guide slidable in a first direction. The assembly also includes a cover defining upper and lower edges and coupled with the guide and first and second extension plates slidably disposed relative to the cover in the first direction so as to be extendable respectively from the upper and lower edges thereof and to be retractable behind the cover.

A cargo retention apparatus for a vehicle includes a vehicle panel defining an interior, an exterior, and an elongate slot open between the interior and exterior that extends in a first direction therealong. A track member is disposed on the interior of the panel and is aligned with the slot in the first direction. The apparatus further includes a hook having a base received through the slot and slidably coupled with the track member.

A cowl trim assembly includes a panel body having front and side panel portions with anchor mechanism adapted to couple the trim assembly to a vehicle frame, and more specifically, to a vehicle door sill frame. A footrest assembly extends outwardly from the panel body having one or more reinforcement members disposed on an underside of the footrest assembly which are adapted to support the footrest assembly on a vehicle floor. In this configuration the footrest assembly is an integrated part of the cowl trim assembly, thereby providing a one-piece trim component having a self supporting footrest assembly, wherein the reinforcement members are adapted to carry loads applied to the footrest assembly by a vehicle occupant to the vehicle frame.

A grab handle assembly for a vehicle has an asymmetrical handle that spans between a first end and a second end. The first end is operably coupled with an A-pillar of a frame of the vehicle. The second end is operably coupled with the A-pillar below the first end. The asymmetrical handle has a slanted portion and a curved portion, configured to provide a smooth downward transition between the A-pillar and the handle and to slidably deflect a forward moving object. The slanted portion extends down from the first end at a first angle. The curved portion protrudes outward and upward from the second end at a second angle to join the slanted portion. The first angle is less than the second angle and the first angle is less than thirty-five degrees, such that the first angle provides a smooth transition to the handle.

A scuff plate assembly for use with an automotive vehicle door side sill includes an elongate scuff plate trim and a U-shaped wire shield for housing a wire harness. The scuff plate trim and wire shield are integrally coupled by a deformable living hinge that is disposed on an upper portion of the wire shield.

A storage unit for an automotive vehicle storage area, defined by a floor bounded by generally vertically extending vehicle panels, has a base member, a pair of side supports attached at opposing ends of the base members, a pair of side members hingedly attached to the pair of side supports for pivotable movement between the deployed position and a stored position, a track system on a storage area facing surface of the side members, at least one removable shelf cooperative with the track system for alternatively dividing the storage area into generally vertical or horizontal storage compartments, and manually operable lock members attached to an outboard surface of the side supports and side members for releasable engagement with a lock engagement attached to the vehicle panels. The storage unit has an installed position for dividing the storage area into alternately vertical or horizontal storage compartments, and is collapsible into a transportable position for convenient transit when not installed in the storage area.
