In some embodiments, a data-secure sensor system includes one or more processors configured to receive sensor data (e.g., image data, audio data, etc.) and generate descriptive data based on the sensor data that corresponds to a physical area that corresponds to information about identified objects or activity in physical area, an input/output (I/O) port, and an I/O choke communicatively coupled between the one or more processors and the I/O port, the I/O choke configured to limit a communication bandwidth of the I/O port to a maximum data rate. The one or more processors can be configured to prevent the sensor data from being accessible via any external port of the data-secure camera system, including the I/O port, and allow the descriptive data to be accessible via the I/O port.

Data-secure sensor system

A method for facilitating in-device coexistence between wireless communication technologies on a wireless communication device is provided. The method can include transmitting data traffic from the wireless communication device via an aggressor wireless communication technology; determining occurrence of an in-device interference condition resulting from transmission of the data traffic via the aggressor wireless communication technology interfering with concurrent data reception by the wireless communication device via a victim wireless communication technology; and reducing a bit rate of the data traffic transmitted via the aggressor wireless communication technology in response to the in-device interference condition.

Facilitating in-device coexistence between wireless communication technologies

A method and a device for performing massive multiple-input and multiple-output ('MIMO') operations with a user equipment (UE). The method and device receive signals from a UE within a coverage area of the device, determine a location of the UE within the coverage area and assign an operating frequency band to the UE for communication with the device, wherein the coverage area includes a plurality of regions and the operating frequency band assigned to the UE is based on the one of the regions corresponding to the location and transmit the operating frequency band assignment to the UE.

A wireless communication system is presented for multiple wireless technology coexistence in a mobile device. A method according to this application might include obtaining one or more transmit allocation parameters for a wireless transmission via a first radio technology at a first wireless processor and the preparing to receive wireless data via a second radio technology at a second wireless processor. Next, the exemplary method might request that the wireless transmission be deferred, followed by deciding whether to grant the deferral request based at least on the one or more transmit allocation parameters.

Conditional transmission deferral for dual wireless band coexistence

A user equipment (UE) device may be configured to effectively manage coexistence of multiple radio access technologies (RATs) on the device. Respective controllers responsible for at least partially managing wireless communications according to corresponding respective RATs may communicate to each other expected data transfer patterns that take place over their respective communications links, including application-specific data transfer patterns and data-transfer-mechanism-specific data transfer patterns. The RAT controllers may manage their respective data transfers according to the expected data-transfer pattern information associated with the other RATs received from each in order to prevent data transmission by the device over one RAT link interfering with data transmission of the device over another RAT link. The expected data pattern information may be sent in messaging of a specific type with indexes determined based at least on a status of the data transfer mechanism and a connectivity status of the UE device.

Application-aware multiple wireless radio-access technology coexistence solution and time sharing between multiple radio-access technologies for in-device coexistence

This disclosure relates to optimizing power consumption for cellular communication based on transport block size in combination with channel condition measurements via power amplifier biasing. According to one embodiment, an indication of a transport block size to be used for uplink communication with a base station may be received. It may be determined that the transport block size provides more robust communication characteristics than required for current channel conditions. A power amplifier (PA) bias current for uplink communication with the cellular base station may be selected based at least in part on determining that the transport block size provides more robust communication characteristics than required for the current channel conditions. In particular, PA bias current selection may be biased to reduce power consumption at a cost of greater non-linearity based on the transport block size providing more robust communication characteristics than required for the current channel conditions.

Power consumption optimization for cellular communication via power amplifier biasing

A method for controlling transmission power in accordance with a total transmission power limit in a multi-radio wireless communication device including a master radio and a slave radio is provided. The method can include the wireless communication device determining, at the master radio, a transmission power of the master radio. The method can further include the wireless communication device providing information indicative of the transmission power of the master radio from the master radio to the slave radio. The method can additionally include determining, at the slave radio, an allowable transmission power for the slave radio. A sum of the allowable transmission power and the transmission power of the master radio may not exceed the total transmission power limit.

Controlling radio transmission power in a multi-radio wireless communication device

A device and method transmits a data block over a wireless coexistence interface (WCI) pathway. The method includes generating a data block for transmission between a cellular chip and an Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) chip. The method includes converting the data block into messages, the messages having a format corresponding to the WCI pathway, the WCI pathway directly communicatively connecting the cellular chip and the ISM chip, the format including an indication of a message type. The method includes transmitting the messages over the WCI pathway. The method includes generating the data block based upon a concatenation of the messages.

Device and method for block data transfer over wireless coexistence interface

Electronic devices may be provided that contain wireless communications circuitry. The wireless communications circuitry may include radio-frequency transceiver circuitry with first and second ports that are coupled by switching circuitry to first and second antennas. A first receiver in the transceiver circuitry may be associated with the first port and a second receiver in the transceiver circuitry may be associated with the second port. An electronic device may be operated in a single receiver mode in which only one of the receivers is active to conserve power or a dual receiver mode in which signals from both antennas may be received in parallel to compare antenna performance. Based on antenna performance metrics, the electronic device may adjust the switching circuitry to ensure that an optimal antenna is being used.

Adaptive antenna diversity system

A method for facilitating in-device coexistence between radios is provided. The method can include a processor implemented on the wireless communication device defining a coexistence policy for a first radio and a second radio co-located on the wireless communication device; and providing the coexistence policy to a coexistence management controller on the first radio via an interface between the processor and the first radio. The method can further include the second radio providing state information for the second radio to the first radio via an interface between the first radio and the second radio. The method can additionally include the coexistence management controller on the first radio using the state information to control operation of the first radio in accordance with the coexistence policy to mitigate interference with the second radio.
