The powered ramp door lift is used in cargo trailers and other ramp door applications and includes a powered winch assembly, a pair of wire cables or nylon straps connecting the winch assembly to the ramp door, and a 'pusher' mechanism. The winch assembly mounted to the trailer header winds and unwinds the cables onto a pair of spools mounted to a drive shaft, which is driven by an electric motor. The 'pusher' mechanism prevents the &#x201c;unspooling&#x201d; problems that effect the operation of winches in automated ramp door applications. The pusher mechanism engages the ramp door in the closed position and applies an outward force to the ramp door over a small portion of its travel to assist in the initial lowering of the ramp door from the closed position. The winch assembly also includes a cable tension winch shut off mechanism, which deactivates the winch motor in the absence of any tension on cables.

A cold steel cambering apparatus and method of use, the apparatus comprising, a cambering assembly having a forward-most end and a rearward-most end and therebetween a plurality of adjustable beam guides, each having means to restrain lateral movement of at least one cold steel beam placed on the cambering assembly, with a plurality of guides also having second means to restrain upward movement of at least one cold steel beam placed on the cambering assembly; and at least one hydraulic lift cylinder positioned directly under at least one cold steel beam placed on the cambering assembly with means to impart a concave or upward camber to at least one cold steel beam placed on the cambering assembly over the forward hydraulic cylinder and restrained by the means to restrain lateral and upward movement.

Cold steel cambering apparatus and method

A collapsible table for use on motor vehicles such as conversion vans, motorhomes and other recreational vehicles. The collapsible table of the present invention is mounted to the floor of the vehicle and includes a lower frame, an intermediate frame pivotally attached to the lower frame, and an upper frame pivotally attached to the intermediate frame. Both the intermediate frame and the upper frame pivot between a folded position in which the frame is next to its adjacent frame and an extended position in which each frame is spaced from its adjacent frame. The collapsible table includes a latch mechanism for latching the frames in their folded or extended positions. Accordingly, a table surface attached to the upper frame can be placed in a lower position adjacent the floor, an intermediate positions, and a raised position. The lower frame of the collapsible table includes slotted mounting brackets designed to mount to the standard base plate used to mount passenger seating to the floor of vehicles, which allows the table to be placed in a variety of locations throughout the vehicle.

A seat support for a motor vehicle includes a mounting plate permanently secured to the floor of the vehicle and a riser releasingly mounted on the mounting plate. The plate and the riser have cooperating sliding surfaces wherein the riser is slidably supported for movement on the plate between released and latch positions. As the riser moves into the latched position, open-ended slots on feet extending from the riser engage pins on the plate, thereby securing the riser to the plate. Primary and secondary locking mechanisms lock the riser on the plate and tighten engagement between the riser and the plate. The locking mechanisms engage semi-resilient sleeves on the pins to prevent rattling.

Seat support for a motor vehicle

A quick release pedestal seat mount to support a passenger seat from the floor of a recreational vehicle includes a base plate for mounting on the floor of the recreational vehicle and a seat mounting box to which a seat may be attached. The seat mounting box may be quickly secured to the base plate by means of a set of hold down cleats which fit engagingly into a complimentary set of hold down openings in the base plate. The seat mounting box is further locked in place by means of a pair of dogs attached to a kick release handle and received into a pair of locking slots in the base plates. A simple tug on the kick release handle disengages the dogs from the locking slots and pulls the seat mounting box rearward, disengaging the hold down cleats. The seat mounting box is further formed so that it will deform under the impact of a frontal collision in such a manner as to cushion the impact of the collision to the seat occupant.
