An approach is provided for upgrading containerized applications in cluster(s) in a container orchestration system. State information about the containerized applications is identified and analyzed. Based on the state information, an upgrade path for an upgrade of the containerized applications is determined. Using an artificial intelligence (AI) based container orchestration platform upgrade engine that employs continuous learning for upgrading data and algorithmic models to upgrade containers, a recommendation is generated that the upgrade be a full upgrade or a partial upgrade. A confirmation of the full upgrade or the partial upgrade is received from a user. Components for the full upgrade or the partial upgrade are created. Using the upgrade path and based on the full upgrade or the partial upgrade, the upgrade is performed.

Intelligent upgrade workflow for a container orchestration system

Methods and systems for governing service identification in an SOA governance model according to embodiments of the present invention are provided. Embodiments include receiving a set of input parameters for identifying candidate services for the SOA; determining whether the set of input parameters comply with a predetermined input parameter validation policy. If the set of input parameters comply with a predetermined input parameter validation policy, governing service identification includes identifying in dependence upon the set of input parameters one or more candidate services available for the SOA in existing SOA business applications and determining whether each candidate services available in existing SOA business applications comply with a predetermined service selection policy. If one of the candidate services available in existing SOA business applications complies with a predetermined service selection policy, governing service identification includes selecting the candidate service as a service available for the SOA and communicating the identification of that selected service to relevant stakeholders in the SOA.

Embodiments include providing to a user, by an enterprise modeling controller, a user interface comprising an icon carousel and a drop area interface for moving selected icons from the icon carousel. Embodiments also include for each icon within the drop area interface, identifying a corresponding solution component configuration and configuration data associated with the solution component configuration. Aspects of the present invention provide a solution for responding to a change in an environment of a computer system. In an embodiment, a set of triggered controlled event listener learners (T-CELLs) are deployed in the computer system. Each T-CELL of the set of T-CELLs is a self-contained, persistent software construct. Further, each T-CELL has the ability to communicate with the other T-CELLs in the computer system. These T-CELLs can, in response to detecting a change in the computer system, automatically create a new T-CELL to respond to the change.

In general, embodiments of the present invention classify cloud computing environments based on the abstraction layers that the cloud computing environments span and by combining the re-usable capabilities/logical components from these layers. In a typical embodiment, input (e.g., a set of requirements, a set of preferences, a set of costs parameters, and/or a request for feedback) pertaining to a set of services available in the networked computing environment is received from a requester via a network node. Based on the input, a set of capabilities and a corresponding set of logical components of the networked computing environment are identified. Thereafter, a set of providers capable of providing at least one of the set of services is identified and ranked. The set of logical components is then configured to provide the set of services according to the input, and made available to the requester.
