An exhaust system assembly including a catalyst housing, a catalyst core, and a swirler tube positioned inside the catalyst housing. The swirler tube has a plurality of openings that permit radial exhaust flow into an inner volume of the swirler tube from the catalyst housing. One end of the swirler tube has blades that extend inward and include oblique surfaces arranged at oblique angles relative to a centerline axis of the swirler tube. These blades induce a vortex in the exhaust gases exiting the first swirler tube end. The swirler tube is arranged inside the catalyst housing such that a sequential flow path is created where the exhaust gases flowing through the catalyst housing must first pass through the openings in the swirler tube and then by the blades at the first swirler tube end.

An exhaust aftertreatment system may include a housing, an aftertreatment device, and a cantilevered flow distributing element. The housing receives exhaust gas output from an engine and has a main body and an exhaust gas inlet that is angled relative to the main body. The flow distributing element is disposed within the housing upstream of the exhaust aftertreatment device and includes a baffle plate and a collar. The baffle plate is attached to an inner wall of the main body. The collar may include a plurality of first apertures, a downstream axial edge and an upstream axial edge. A portion of the downstream axial edge may abut an upstream-facing surface of the baffle plate. The baffle plate may have a plurality of second apertures extending through the upstream-facing surface. The collar may extend across and partially block at least some of the second apertures.

Cantilevered flow distributing apparatus

An exhaust treatment component for treating an exhaust produced by an engine. The exhaust treatment component includes a housing, a first exhaust treatment component substrate positioned within the housing, and a dosing module for dosing a reagent exhaust treatment fluid into the exhaust. The dosing module is secured to the housing and positioned upstream of the first exhaust treatment component substrate. An ultrasonic transducer is positioned between the dosing module and the first exhaust treatment component substrate. The ultrasonic transducer is configured to emit a plurality of ultrasonic waves into the exhaust including the reagent exhaust treatment fluid.

An exhaust treatment component for treating an engine exhaust. The component includes a housing including an inlet and an outlet, and a mixing assembly located within the housing between the inlet and the outlet. The mixing assembly includes a decomposition tube having a first end and a second end. The first end is configured to receive the exhaust from the inlet and is configured to receive a reagent exhaust treatment fluid. A flow reversing device is disposed proximate the second end, and the flow reversing device is configured to direct a mixture of the exhaust and reagent exhaust treatment fluid as the mixture exits the second end of the decomposition tube in a direction back toward the first end, wherein the flow reversing device includes a plurality of deflecting members for intermixing the exhaust and reagent exhaust treatment fluid.

Axial flow atomization module

An exhaust mixing device for mixing an exhaust produced by an engine with a reagent exhaust treatment fluid that is dosed into the exhaust from a dosing module. The exhaust mixing device includes a decomposition tube having a first end and a second end. The first end of the decomposition tube is configured to receive the exhaust and the reagent exhaust treatment fluid. A flow reversing device is positioned at the second end of the decomposition tube. The flow reversing device includes a plurality of deflecting members that intermix the exhaust and reagent exhaust treatment fluid, and direct the exhaust and reagent exhaust treatment fluid in predetermined directions, wherein the flow reversing device reverses a flow direction of the exhaust back towards the first end of the decomposition tube.

A condensation drain trap for a drain outlet of an air conditioner for draining of condensate waste water. The drain trap has a diaphragm divided by cuts into a plurality of sections to permit the diaphragm to deform, upon the air conditioner being first turned on and a negative pressure being generated inside the air conditioner, to allow passage of air, in a controlled fashion, through the drain trap and into the air conditioner. The diaphragm is designed to retain a column of waste water in the drain trap to balance the negative pressure inside the air conditioner, while the cuts are such that when the column of waste water exceeds a predetermined height or volume, the excess waste water drains out through the diaphragm to maintain the column of waste water at the predetermined height or volume.

An improved baler and a method of using the improved baler to produce high density bales. The baler comprises a pick-up assembly configured to pick-up crop material; a compression assembly comprising at least one pair of opposing compression rollers configured to generate a pressure on the crop material sufficient to crush the nodes as it passes between the compression rollers; and a bale chamber, wherein the crushed crop forms a bale. The compression rollers define an adjustable gap therebetween. By adjusting the gap, a pressure sufficient to crush the nodes of the crop may be exerted on the crop material as it passes between the compression rollers may be controlled, resulting in bales of higher density than conventional bales.

The dispersing duct has a plurality of uniformly arranged forced air discharge means to discharge a uniform array of heated air to the under portion of the automotive vehicle whereby moisture is removed from the under portion of the automotive vehicle by the force of the heated air impinging on the under portion and by evaporation.
