A system that determines a projector's true state in an automatic projection sequence. The system includes a projector in a primary display system, having a lamp for displaying visual information; and a sensor to determine the state of the lamp in the primary display system. Additionally, an interface to a secondary display system is included for sending an operational signal to the secondary display system, wherein the secondary display system operates subject to a predetermined state of the primary display system as determined by the state of the lamp in the primary display system.

A method is described for scheduling a playlist from digital content supplied to a server in a multi-screen digital cinema theater. The playlist includes digital content stored in the server and that is subsequently projected in the digital cinema theater. The method includes: (a) generating and displaying a table of playlists currently available for scheduling; (b) generating and displaying a schedule table showing a schedule view for each screen as an elongated timeline bar representing a time dimension. The method further includes: (c) selecting a playlist from the table of playlists and specifying a scheduled start time and a selected screen; and (d) updating the schedule table by inserting the selected playlist as an elongated element into the elongated timeline bar for the selected screen, whereby the updated schedule table is used to schedule the selected playlist for the selected screen.

The need is met according to the present invention by providing a method of correcting pixel by pixel variations in a display, the method including the steps of creating a defect map of pixel intensity offsets for the display; correcting an input signal according to the defect map; and displaying the corrected input signal on the display, wherein the offset defect map is created by modulating a pixel in the display at a predetermined rate at a predetermined intensity; sensing the display with a photosensor to generate a sensed signal; demodulating the signal with a synchronous demodulator at the predetermined rate to produce a demodulated signal representing a sensed intensity; and employing the sensed intensity and the predetermined intensity to generate a correction offset.

A presentation system having both video for projecting images for viewing by a user and audio for broadcasting sound in which both the audio and video are under central control, the presentation system comprises a digital projector having a wireless local area network connection for displaying the images external to the projector for viewing by the user, and for permitting connection to devices wirelessly connected to the local area network; a processor having a wireless local area network connection which processor includes digital images which are transmitted to the projector for display, and which said processor permits connection to devices wirelessly connected to the local area network; audio speakers having a wireless local area network connection for projecting audio associated with the images or audio from an individual, and for permitting connection to devices wirelessly connected to the local area network; and a central command processor having a wireless local area network connection for directing the display of images and audio being broadcast, and permitting connection to devices wireless connected to the local area network.

The method includes the steps of: (a) generating and displaying a table of playlists currently available for scheduling, each playlist displayed along with its run time; (b) generating and displaying a schedule table showing a schedule view for each screen as an elongated timeline bar representing a time dimension, wherein the elongated timeline bars for a plurality of the screens are arranged one adjacent the other relative to a displayed time axis to provide an overall perspective of the schedules for the screens of the theater; (c) selecting a playlist from the table of playlists and specifying a scheduled start time and a selected screen; and (d) updating the schedule table by inserting the selected playlist as an elongated element into the elongated timeline bar for the selected screen, wherein the element starts at the scheduled start time and has a time dimension corresponding to the run time of the selected playlist, whereby the updated schedule table is used to schedule the selected playlist for the selected screen.
