This disclosure describes, among other things, embodiments of high mast lighting systems with at least one crossarm for mounting at a location along a height of a light pole disposed about a venue, the crossarm including one or more luminaires with the luminaires having associated LED drivers that may be controlled by one or more control nodes disposed locally on or at the pole, within an enclosure or housing, or nearby.

A reflector based illumination system having a mounting insert with at least one primary reflective surface recessed from the opening of a housing and at least one circuit board with a light source operable to be placed in communication with a power source positioned adjacent at least one auxiliary reflective surface mounted at an angle to the primary reflective surface to cooperate with the light source to emit a quantity of incident light toward primary reflective surface, a quantity of incident light toward the auxiliary reflective surface, and a quantity of unobstructed light through the opening, with all three quantities cooperating to illuminate an exterior surface when the light source is placed in communication with the power source through the circuit board and energized to generate light.

Reflector based illumination system

A light fixture having a base for housing a light producing source and a flat plate disposed within the base. The plate has a well formed in it, the well having light reflecting walls. A lamp socket is located in a light reflecting bottom wall of the well. A plurality of light reflecting elements is attached to the plate and a pair of light reflecting assemblies, one on either side of the well, is fixed to the plate. Each light reflecting assembly includes a plurality of light reflecting fins affixed to the plate and projecting at an angle away from the plate. A frame having a convex lens affixed thereto is hingedly attached to the base. A light shield is fixed to the frame for reducing dispersion of unwanted light.

Disclosed is a reflector for a lighting assembly comprised of a series of discrete facets connected to form an optical reflector. Each facet includes subdivisions that extend uninterrupted along substantially the length of the facet and serve to multiply the image of the light source for increased illumination. Further, the curvature of the facets are selected to maximize the length of the reflected image of the light source to further enhance optical output.
