A drum rotation machine includes a working drum mounted for rotation within an enclosure. An access door provides access to the interior of the enclosure, and the access door is moveable between a closed position and an open position. A latch assembly is mounted on the enclosure and is moveable between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the latch assembly prevents the access door from moving from the closed position to the open position. In the unlocked position, the latch assembly allows the access door to be moved from the closed position to the open position, and engages an anti-rotation catch on the working drum to prevent rotation of the working drum.

A gyratory crusher with a tramp iron relief system having an annular manifold is disclosed. The gyratory crusher includes a frame, with the frame including a circumferential manifold ring having an internal hydraulic channel. A bonnet and a gyratory head are supported by the frame, with the gyratory head being spaced relative to the bonnet such that a crushing chamber is formed therebetween. The bonnet is adjustably mounted to the frame to permit relative vertical movement between the bonnet and the gyratory head. A hydraulic relief system is provided and includes at least one hydraulic cylinder operatively interconnecting the bonnet and the frame and being in flow communication with the hydraulic channel. The hydraulic relief system is arranged to allow uncrushable material to automatically pass through the crushing chamber.

A gyratory crusher for crushing material having a frame mechanism including a lower frame portion; a crusher head having a bottom surface; a mounting mechanism for pivotally and gyrationally mounting the crusher head on the lower frame portion wherein the mounting mechanism includes a plurality of hydrostatic bearings configured to form a sliding engagement with the bottom surface of the crusher head to operatively support the crusher head; a drive train configured to operatively connect said mounting mechanism to an external power source; and a self-contained lubricating system for operatively lubricating the mounting mechanism and the drive train, wherein the self-contained lubricating system includes a flow divider configured to separately distribute lubricant to each hydrostatic bearing of the plurality of hydrostatic bearings wherein the flow divider is further configured to operatively provide lubricant to each sliding engagement of the plurality of hydrostatic bearings such that the crusher head is slightly elevated from the plurality of hydrostatic bearings, a monitoring system for monitoring the volume rate of lubricant flowing through the flow divider wherein the monitoring system is configured to operatively signal shut-down of the gyratory crusher as the volume rate decreases below a predetermined level, a pressure transducer configured to operatively signal shut-down of the gyratory crusher in the event that pressure of the lubricant to the flow divider decreases below a pre-determined level, and a relief valve configured to prevent pressure of the lubricant to the flow divider from exceeding a pre-determined level.

A gyratory crusher includes a frame, a bonnet, a gyratory crusher head, supported by the frame and being spaced relative to the bonnet such that a crushing chamber is formed therebetween, and a hydraulic channel formed integrally within the frame. First and second hydraulic cylinders are attached to the frame and support the bonnet on the frame, and the first and second hydraulic cylinders are connected to the hydraulic channel so as to be in hydraulic communication therewith. First and second hydraulic accumulators are supported by the frame and are in hydraulic communication with the hydraulic channel and the hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic accumulators and the hydraulic channel are arranged to allow uncrushable material to automatically pass through the crushing chamber.

A gyratory crusher for crushing material having a frame mechanism including a lower frame portion; a crusher head having a crushing surface; a mounting mechanism, including a main shaft having a distal end, for pivotally and gyrationally mounting the crusher head on the lower frame portion, wherein the distal end has a first partial bore with first threads; a mantel; and a securing arrangement for removably securing the mantel in covering relation to the crushing surface. The securing arrangement includes a mantel nut; a mantel stud connected to the distal end of the main shaft and configured to receive the mantel nut, wherein the mantel stud has second threads matable with the first threads and wherein the handedness of the first and second threads is configured to be operatively self-tightening during crushing operations, and third threads for threadably receiving the mantel nut; and an arrangement for preventing over-tightening of the mantel stud during crushing operations, including at least one second partial bore spaced across the first and second threads as the first and second threads are in mating engagement, and a dowel pin configured to be received by the at least one second partial bore as the first and second threads are in mating engagement.

A gyratory crusher having a frame with a lower frame portion, a crusher head, a mounting mechanism for pivotally and gyrationally mounting the crusher head on the lower frame portion such that the crusher head operably gyrates between a closed side setting and a corresponding open side setting, a seal mechanism for operably protecting the mounting mechanism. The seal mechanism includes a flexible member having an outer edge, sealingly connected to the crusher head, and an inner edge, sealingly connected to the lower frame portion by an outer bearing race secured to the inner edge, an inner bearing race secured to the lower frame portion, and bearing balls captured between the outer and inner bearing races. The flexible member may have a single wall structure with a corrugation-like configuration, or a double wall structure with an inflatable bladder therebetween.

A gyratory crusher includes a flexible dust seal having an outer edge attached to a cone head of the crusher and to an outer of a ball-bearing seal, an inner race of which is attached to a mounting arrangement for rotationally mounting an eccentric member about a crusher axis with a pair of taper bearings and for rotationally mounting the cone head about a cone head axis offset from the crusher axis. The cone head is also mounted on a plurality of hydrostatic bearings. A mantel of the crusher is attached to the cone head by a removable cap nut and mantel stud. The crusher includes a self-contained lubricating system and a hydraulic tramp iron relief system with connections contained internally within structure of a lower frame portion of the crusher. The crusher includes a drive gear centered about the crusher axis and attached directly to the eccentric member. The crusher also includes a thermal relief system adapted to transfer thermal energy from the mounting arrangement to the lower frame portion connected to the mounting arrangement.

Gyratory crusher

A gyratory crusher includes a bowl assembly with a concave crushing surface and a crusher head of conical shape which extends into the concave portion of the bowl assembly. A central crusher axis extends centrally through the bowl assembly. The crusher head is mounted with a central head axis at an angular deviation with respect to the central crusher axis to intersect the crusher axis at an apex. Crushing action is obtained by driving the crusher head to gyrate the angular offset of its central axis about the central crusher axis. The gyratory crusher has an adjustable stroke of gyration. Adjustability of the stroke is obtained by controllably varying the amount of angular deviation by which the crusher head gyrates about the central crusher axis. The amount of angular deviation is controlled by an eccentric support bearing which gyrates a guide shaft of the crusher head about the crusher axis and which is adjustably mounted to move toward and away from the apex of gyration without also changing the position of the crusher head with respect to the apex.
