The pipe support apparatus of the present invention includes a length of flexible webbing having a first receptacle formed at one end of the length and a second receptacle formed at an opposite end of the webbing. A first rigid member has a locking bracket received within the first receptacle, and a second rigid member has another locking bracket received within the second receptacle. A landing pad is transversely extended from the length of flexible webbing and is positioned on the length of flexible webbing between the first and second rigid members. The length of webbing and landing pad form a pipe receiving surface between the first and second rigid members, the pipe receiving surface being a top surface of the webbing and a top surface of the landing pad.

Pipe support apparatus for padding and chocking

The present invention is a heavy equipment vehicle for laying pipe, such as a modified excavator. The vehicle includes an undercarriage with a tracks for moving, an excavator cab mounted to the undercarriage by a rotating platform, a counterweight mounted to the cab, a boom having a first arm and a second arm, two pipe hoists, and an excavator tool attachment. The excavator tool attachment can be a bucket, scoop, grapple, a pulverizer, claw or a hammer of an excavator. Each arm of the vehicle has a pipe hoist attached to an underside thereof. The pipe hoist element is a two-block hoist with a top block and a bottom block with a hook extending downward, and a winch with line connecting to the two-block hoist, such that the line lowers and raises a hook connected to a harness of a pipe. The boom can also have stabilizer attachments.

Heavy equipment vehicle for laying pipe

A pipe support apparatus including a length of flexible webbing having a first receptacle formed at one end and a second receptacle formed adjacent an opposite end of the webbing, a first rigid member received within the first receptacle, and a second rigid member received within the second receptacle. Each of the first and second rigid members has a height greater than a thickness of the webbing. The length of webbing defines a pipe receiving surface between the first and second rigid members. Each of the first and second receptacles is a loop having an opening suitable for slidable receipt of the first and second rigid members. The first and second rigid members are cylindrical members which are slidably received within each of the receptacles. The webbing can have a plurality of receptacles formed adjacent one end of the webbing. The plurality of receptacles selectively receives one and only one of the rigid members.

Padding and chocking apparatus for pipe joints and/or pipe sections

The protective coating on a pipe is embrittled and removed by enclosing a portion of the pipe in a body defining an annular space around the protective coating. A pressurized liquid nitrogen cryogen is expanded within this annular space for a sufficient time to lower the temperature of both the protective coating and the underlying pipe to a temperature below the temperature of embrittlement of the coating.

Process and apparatus for embrittling and subsequently removing an outer

Access to a pipe section which is surrounded by a protective coating is achieved by enclosing the pipe section in a sleeve and then flowing a refrigerant fluid through the sleeve to render the protective coating brittle. The brittle coating can then be easily broken by means of an impacting hammer, or the like, to provide access to the pipe section.
