A removable cookware handle is disclosed for connection to a piece of cookware. The removable cookware handle can attach to an attachment member that is secured to the cookware piece. To facilitate locking and unlocking of the attachment member to the removable cookware handle, a plurality of button mechanism are present on the housing of the removable cookware handle. A first button mechanism of the plurality of button mechanisms is slidable in a longitudinal direction while the second button mechanism is depressible in a lateral direction. When unlocking the removable cookware handle from the attachment member, a user may depress the second button and manipulate the first button backward to allow the attachment member to be released from a locking cavity within the housing.

A cooking appliance has a base with an upstanding wall defining a hollow interior with an opening. The base is configured to support a cooking grate adjacent to the opening. A lid is configured to be removably attached to the base and allow access to the cooking grate. An electrical cooking element is spaced from the grate and positioned in the hollow interior. A passage is formed in the upstanding wall and has a closure moveable between a closed position and an open position. In the open position, the passage receives and supports the cooking element in the hollow interior of the base to enable cooking with electricity via the cooking element. In the closed position, the closure of the passage at least partially blocks access through the passage into the hollow interior to enable cooking with a combustible solid material deposited in the base without the cooking element.

A popcorn popping unit has a heating element and a blower fan, and a cooking surface adapted to receive kernels of corn. The popping unit is configurable for two flow paths of pressurized air through the popping unit. In the first path, pressurized air is configured to flow over the heating element, flow over the cooking surface, cook the kernels of corn, and move the cooked kernels of corn to a serving dispenser. In a second path, pressurized air is configured to flow over the cooking surface, and move un-popped seeds into a seed collection bin.

A food cutter has a cutting portion and a movable portion that is movable between a first position in which the movable portion is raised relative to the cutting portion and a second position in which the movable position is lowered relative to the cutting portion. The cutting portion comprises an upstanding wall with a blade formed on a distal end of the upstanding wall. The movable portion is arranged generally traverse to the upstanding wall. A biasing member extends continuously from the upstanding wall to the movable portion. The biasing member urges the movable portion to the first position when the movable portion is moved to the second position.

A popcorn popping unit comprises a blower unit and a popping vessel. The popping vessel has first and second parts assemblable with one another to form the popping vessel. The first part is operatively mounted on the blower unit and the second part has an opening configured to vent pressurized air generated by the blower during cooking operations from the popping vessel through the opening. The popping vessel has at least a portion with inner and outer walls spaced apart from one another to form a double wall construction for the at least portion of the popping vessel. The inner wall may comprise glass and the outer wall may comprise plastic. The inner and outer walls may be transparent.

A food press has a first handle with first and second ends. The food press has a second handle with first and second ends. The first and second handles are hingedly connected to one another at their first ends. The food press has an intermediate member hingedly connected to the first end of the second handle and slidingly connected to the first end of the first handle. The intermediate member substantially fills the space between the first and second handles when the first and second handles are brought together. The press may be configured as a seafood cracker, nutcracker, garlic press, and/or food slicer.
