An aisle containment system installed around a pre-existing building column in a data center. The aisle containment system includes a frame defined by wall beams, header frames, and a plurality of posts. A plurality of cabinets are positioned within the frame. Mid-span posts are positioned adjacent building columns located within the frame. The mid-span posts support the wall beams on one side of the frame. A containment column adapter is secured to one of the wall beams and one of the mid-span posts. The containment column adapter seals the gaps between the building column and the wall beam within the frame of the aisle containment system.

Universal aisle containment column adapter

An aisle containment system is disclosed. The aisle containment system includes a frame defined by wall beams, header frames, and a plurality of posts secured to the wall beams and header frames. The header frames extend the width of the frame and the wall beams extend the length of the frame. A plurality of blanking panels extend from the floor to one of the wall beams. The plurality of blanking panels have a top, a bottom, a first side and a second side. Vertical stiffeners are positioned along at least one of the first side and the second side of each blanking panel. The blanking panels overlap adjacent blanking panels along the length of the frame. The blanking panels are laterally adjusted to fill openings in the aisle containment system.

Independent aisle containment system

An aisle containment system is provided. The aisle containment system includes a pair of wall beams suspended from a ceiling, a pair of floor tracks positioned beneath the wall beams and secured to a floor, and at least one blanking panel secured to one of the wall beams and one of the floor tracks.

Ceiling supported cold aisle containment system

The aisle containment system is mounted to two rows of equal width cabinets or cabinets varying in width between 600 mm, 700 mm and 800 mm. The aisle containment system includes door assemblies on both ends of the cabinet rows, vertical panels that mount to the cabinets and door frames to support the ceiling, cross tees that span the aisle, and ceiling panels. Additional cabinets of equal or varying width may be added to an aisle containment installation.

Aisle containment system

A cable duct coupler for coupling a first cable duct section to a second cable duct section without the need for tools, the cable duct coupler comprising a channel portion, a first outer guide element and a second outer guide element, a barb mount extending from at least one of the channel portion and the outer guide elements, and a barb having a body and first and second arms extending from the body, the barb being mounted on the barb mount, wherein at least a portion of the first arm extends at an angle between the first portion of the channel portion and the barb body and at least a portion of the second arm extends at an angle between the second portion of the channel portion and the barb body.

Cable duct coupler

A two-piece cable tie is provided that is capable of usage with an automated cable tie installation tool. The two-piece cable tie accommodates improved gripping of large or small bundles. By including a cored-out region near the neck, the cable tie can secure a near zero bundle size. By including a transverse pad on the bottom side of the cable tie strap near the cable tie head, the cable tie can be prevented from rotation relative to the bundle to which is it secured. A preferred cable tie strap has a wide recessed center section and high side rails that increase lateral clamping force. To resist barb inversion, the cable tie preferably includes a reinforcement area underneath the metal locking device when used with a strap having a recessed area. By maintaining relatively high side rails and a thin web section in the tip, the cable tie can achieve zero insertion force while maintaining sufficient strap rigidity and size to enable feeding of the strap through an automated cable tie installation tool.

Two-piece cable tie suitable for use in an automated cable tie installation tool

An apparatus for testing the tension settings of cable tie hand tools comprises a base, a gauge, a force transmitting member connected to the gauge and a cable tie hand tool receiving member positioned on the base. In one embodiment the force transmitting member comprises a spring and a first hinged arm. In a second embodiment the force transmitting member comprises a strap section of a cable tie. The cable tie receiving member is adapted to receive and position the cable tie hand tool. The apparatus may be employed with various types of cable tie hand tools.

Cable tie hand tool testing apparatus

A harness board fixture with improved mounting features enables better positioning and securing of an automatic cable tie tool to the fixture. The mounting features may be provided on the same side or on opposite sides of an arcuate wire bundle support surface of the fixture. When provided on a same side, multiple mounting or locating features may be located near each other. The opposite side, forming a front of the fixture, may be open to define a readily accessible wire bundle entrance and exit path. The fixture preferably includes a mounting structure for reliably receiving and releaseably holding a push mount by snap-fit and oriented substantially perpendicular to the fixture base or at an angle.

The cable tie receiving member is adapted to receive and position the cable tie hand tool. The apparatus may be employed with various types of cable tie hand tools.

An installation tool that is used to install a bundling member, such as a metal tie or strap, around a bundle of objects. The installation tool has a tool body, a front handle and an adjustable rear handle. The front handle is positioned within the tool body and the rear handle is pivotally connected to the tool body. The front handle includes a tensioning mechanism with a ratchet mechanism that tensions the bundling member around the bundle of objects to a predetermined tension setting. The front handle also includes a lockout mechanism that overrides the predetermined tension setting of the tension mechanism to enable the bundling member to be tensioned to a desired tension setting.
