The flow pump has an impeller, driven in a pump chamber and having a ring of blades spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction on at least one end face and ending at the face end of the impeller and cooperate therewith to define blade chambers. In the pump chamber, at least one feed conduit in the form of a split ring cooperates with the ring of blades on the impeller, and at least one intake opening discharging into the feed conduit is embodied in a pump chamber wall that defines the pump chamber in the direction of the pivot axis of the impeller. In an initial region at the at least one intake opening and/or in the circumferential direction of the impeller, adjoining the impeller, the feed conduit extends radially farther inward than the blade chamber bottom of the impeller, and the transition between a radially inner blade chamber bottom of the blade chambers and the associated face end of the impeller has a chamfer or rounded corner.

Pump for pumping fuel from a tank to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine, having a unit such as a pressure regulator, mounted in electrically insulated fashion and including an electrically conductive housing, and the housing is connected via an electrical connection to a defined electrical potential. As a result, static charging of the unit, which could become dangerous, is precluded. The fuel supply system is intended in particular for pumping fuel to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.

Supply unit

The invention relates to a fuel delivery unit, having a side channel pump that in a housing ( ) has a pump chamber ( ) and in the pump chamber ( ) has an impeller ( ), and having an electric motor ( ) that drives the impeller ( ) and has a stator and a rotor ( ). Fuel delivery system

A feed device for fuel has a feed pump driven by an electric motor and a housing which receives the electric motor. The feed pump and a filter arrangement which has a preliminary pump and a main pump arranged respectively before and behind the feed pump in the fuel flow direction are provided in the housing. The feed pump transports the main flow of fuel through a central recess in the filter pot at the input flow side of the main filter of the filter arrangement. A side channel pump which is open on one side is arranged at the feed pump as a preliminary stage thereof. The fuel can be delivered subsequent to the preliminary filter to a rise pipe and then into a pot housing to a suction area of the main stage of the feed pump.

The invention relates to a side-channel pump having an intake cover (,), which is used in pumping fuel in a motor vehicle. A fuel supply system for fuel supply of an internal combustion engine has a fuel supply container, a fuel supply unit having a pressure limiting valve providing an adjustable maximum pressure, a fuel supply conduit having a pressure regulating valve adjustable to an operational pressure for maintaining a regulated operational pressure in the fuel supply conduit, a fuel return conduit adapted to connect the internal combustion engine with the fuel supply container, and a delay valve associated with the pressure regulating valve for loading the fuel supply conduit with an initial pressure which is higher than an operational pressure.

The apparatus for supplying fuel includes a fuel tank and a fuel feed unit in the fuel tank. The fuel feed unit has a main housing, a suction cover arranged in a bottom part of the main housing, a fuel pump and a degassing valve arranged in the suction cover for degassing the fuel pump. The fuel pump itself includes an impeller housing with a circular passage for fuel flow and an electric-motor-driven impeller. The impeller housing is arranged in the main housing and next to the suction cover and it is provided with a degassing passage connecting the circular passage with the degassing valve. To improve starting behavior the fuel feed unit has a degassing valve in the suction cover, which is connected with the circular passage of the impeller housing by a degassing passage. The degassing valve opens to the fuel tank when pressure in the degassing passage exceeds a predetermined value for degassing the fuel pump. The degassing valve can be a spring-loaded ball valve in which the compression spring bearing on the ball provides a predetermined counter-force so that the degassing valve is kept open during idle and start of impeller rotation until degassing is complete.

Apparatus for supplying a fuel by means of a fuel supply unit arranged in a housing

A pressure regulating valve has a valve chamber having an inlet for connecting to a pressure source, a discharge chamber communicating through a valve opening with the valve chamber, a valve member, a valve seat surrounding the valve opening, a valve closing spring which presses the valve member against the valve seat with an adjustable spring force, and a throttling surface arranged downstream of the valve opening so that between the valve member and an inner wall of the discharge chamber, a pressure is formed at the valve member which counteracts the spring force.
