The shield control device of a longwall shield for carrying out the longwall functions of the longwall shield in the longwall face working in a mine is associated with a distributing device upstream of a group of functional elements. Each of the functional elements of the longwall shield is associated with an exclusive address code word, on the call of which the internal connection between the shield control device and the functional elements depends. The distributing device is arranged in close proximity to the functional elements. The functional elements are valves or sensors.

A plug contact pairing comprises a plug pot with contact pins, as well as a plug head with contact circuits for connection of electrical line ends. A profiled ring (securing ring) is used to mount the plug head in an interlocking manner in the plug pot, is incorporated with a part of its cross section in a circumferential groove in the plug head and, during closure of the plug contact pairing, latches with the rest of its cross section into a groove on the internal circumference of the plug pot. By virtue of the shape and material of the securing ring and the slot shape, the plug head can be pulled out of the plug pot only with a tensile force which is greater than the limit value. In one development, the plug head is mounted with an identical connection in the plug housing, in which case the mounting ring connection is designed in comparison to the securing ring connection such that the tensile force with which the plug head can be pulled out of the plug pot is less than that by means of which the plug head is held in the plug housing by the mounting ring connection.

The light sources for illuminating the stope support at a longwall face are operated at low voltage, connected to the control network device, for low voltage supply of the system controllers. LEDs are particularly suitable as light sources. Measures for avoiding an impairment of the function of the system controllers are disclosed.

An electrically controlled actuating element is arranged on a machine by a flange connection consisting of a mounting flange () and a machine flange (), and is controlled by an electric control subsystem (). Embedded in the mounting flange () in a predetermined geometric pattern is a plurality of electric switches (--). Each switch is arranged in an electric circuit that connects to the control subsystem. In the machine flange (), closing elements are arranged in some marking points of the geometric pattern in a geometric arrangement that is characteristic of the respective machine and associated to it. In an existing flange connection, the switches located in the respective marking points can be actuated by the closing elements. The control subsystem () of each consumer is provided with a memory (), which stores the geometric arrangement of the closing elements that is characteristic of and associated to the machine.

Electrically controlled actuating element on a machine

The invention relates to a mining device that is used at the face of a mine, said device comprising a sensor that is mounted on the planer for identifying the rock and transmitting rock data for no more than two measuring points per extraction unit via radio to each extraction control device. The measuring signals of adjacent measuring points are evaluated with respect to the prevalence of rock or coal. Based on said evaluation, the tilting unit that is common to the measuring points is controlled with regard to the raising or lowering of the planer. Each tilting unit is allocated an inclinometer, whose measured value of the inclination of the channel in the transversal direction of the latter is fed to the extraction control device and compared with the tilt signal that is generated by the evaluation. Each inclinometer is equipped with a radio transmitter for the radio transmission of the inclination signals to the assigned extraction control device. Each inclinometer is equipped with a power supply battery, which is activated by a radio signal of a transmitter that is provided on the planer and is deactivated after a time lapse.

Mining device

A longwall support in a mine that comprises a plurality of longwall support units. The longwall support units are supported relative to a conveyor by stays that comprise cylinder-piston units. A control system with data acquisition, data storage, and programming is used to adapt the distribution of the staying forces over the length of the longwall, the sum of the staying forces acting upon the length of the longwall (total staying force), and the distribution of the advance forces over the length of the longwall continuously to the desired position of the conveyor. As a result, it is possible to influence the total staying force by the number of the stays with respect to an adjustable maximum, or the total staying force by controlling the longitudinal forces of the individual stays, or the total staying force as a function of at least one of the end positions of the conveyor.

Coal face support in a mine

A hydraulic switching mechanism for longwall supports. The present invention provides a hydraulic system that is controlled by its own pressure and may be adaptable to those currently in use so that life-threatening and costly faults cannot occur. With the present invention, the retrofitting of existing systems may be made possible without significant expenditure in modification.

Hydraulic switching mechanism for longwall supports

A hydraulic control for a longwall support with a plurality of face support frameworks (-), which are adapted to be actuated in the sense of longwall support functions, in particular in the sense of the longwall support operations: robbing, advancing, and setting, comprises hydraulic control valves () for each of the biasing elements, which are each arranged in close spatial relationship with the biasing elements, and subdivided into groups. Each group connects to a hydraulic pressure line (), which extends over the longwall length of a plurality of face support frameworks, via a group connection line (), which can be blocked by a group stop valve () as a function of the actuation of the control valves, specifically, when all control valves are not actuated and all biasing elements of the group are in a static state.

Hydraulic control for a longwall support

A longwall support control for controlling the movements of the longwall support units and the advance heading in the longwall of a mine comprises a plurality of control units, of which a separate mining shield control device is locally and operationally associated to each longwall support unit. Each mining shield control device comprises a multi-channel radio transceiver, such that the mining shield control device is in a simultaneous transmit and receive mode with a decentralized operating device for receiving control signals and for transmitting inspection data. The mining shield control devices may be interconnected and each mining shield control device may include an amplifier.

Control mechanism for the extension units in the longwall face of a mine

The invention relates to a releasable non-return valve, in which a connection between a working chamber and a connector chamber may be closed by a non-return piston and opened by the opening movement of a release piston which may be pressurized with a release pressure. The non-return piston, discharge piston and release piston are arranged concentric to each other with the release shaft in the common valve axis. The valve has a cartridge embodiment with a non-return valve cartridge which may be inserted in the valve housing and a discharge valve cartridge independent of the non-return valve cartridge. The release shaft extends through the non-return piston with a sliding seal and engages behind the piston base by means of a stepped diameter for opening. The discharge piston is pressure compensated on both sides by pressurization with the working pressure.

Releasable non-return valve

For an explosion-proof connection of two electric line ends (), the contact elements () are accommodated in two tubes (), which can be joined in an explosion-proof manner. Each of the plug-in contact parts is axially secured in its tube by a radial projection () in the direction toward the end facing the other tube. At its line end, each of the tubes is closed by an end cap (), which sealingly surrounds with a narrow outlet () the electric lines, including an insulation (). The tube, in which the plug-in contact part with the contact pins is axially secured, extends beyond the tip of the contact pins, and has there an enlarged diameter, with which it surrounds the other tube (inner tube) with a narrow cylindrical gap (sealing gap).
