The use of a control module having at least one housing part and a multi-layer printed circuit board as the electrical connection between the inner space of the housing and components that are situated outside of the housing part is described. The multi-layer printed circuit board is the carrier for the electrical components of an electronic circuit, and is at the same time the thermal contacting to a housing part and/or a cooling element, particularly a hydraulic plate of the transmission, for a transmission control installed in an automatic transmission.

An electrical control unit has a printed circuit board substrate, on which an electronic circuit is situated, which circuit includes multiple electrical components which are interconnected via printed conductors of the printed circuit board substrate, as well as housing parts for covering the electrical components on the printed circuit board substrate, and at least one device plug connector part situated on the printed circuit board substrate outside the section of the printed circuit board substrate covered by the housing parts. Outside the section covered by the at least one housing part and outside the section of the printed circuit board substrate provided with the device plug connector part, at least one contact point for an additional electrical component is situated on the printed circuit board substrate.

A method for regulating the current through an electromagnetic actuator. The actuator, a first switch and a current-measuring circuit form a series circuit. A free-wheeling diode is parallel-connected to the actuator. The first switch is closed and opened by a control and a pulse generator using a PWM signal (PWM=pulse width modulation) in such a way that the current flowing through the actuator and measured by the current-measuring circuit is regulated to a setpoint value (SW). The time duration of one on and off switching cycle of the PWM signal is altered, and a so-called dither function in the form of a low-frequency oscillation is superimposed on the PWM signal.

To significantly reduce the use of single signal lines using a simplest possible contacting and connecting technique, a control system is described, in which the electrical shifting elements located in the passenger compartment are connected via signal lines to an electronic control unit, which is located in the passenger compartment and linked to the data bus, and which combines the signals transmitted over the signal lines and routes them via the data bus to the transmission control. The outlay for the wiring harness is again greatly reduced, with the data bus now also being routed into the passenger compartment, enabling additional devices to be connected thereto. Accordingly, the control system can be easily expanded.

Control system for a vehicle having a transmission control

The invention is directed to a system for controlling operating sequences in a motor vehicle having an electronic circuit controlling (open loop and/or closed loop) the operational sequences. A temperature detecting device is provided which is mounted so as to be in thermal contact at least with parts of the electronic circuit and detects a temperature value representing the temperature of this part. A determination is made whether the detected temperature value of at least one of at least two different threshold values is exceeded. Different measures are then initiated in dependence upon which of the different threshold values is exceeded. The system considers the occurrence of high temperatures in that the system itself detects a damaging temperature and reacts appropriately by different measures to different high temperatures.
