An expansible fixing plug ( ) has an expansion screw ( ), which is located in an expansible fixing plug sleeve ( ). In accordance with the invention, a screw thread ( ) is of saw tooth construction and a rear part ( ) of the fixing plug sleeve ( ) is axially extendable. When the expansible fixing plug ( ) is subjected to axial loading the expansion screw ( ) moves axially in the fixing plug sleeve ( ) and the screw thread ( ) expands the fixing plug sleeve ( ). The expansible fixing plug ( ) therefore has a subsequent-expansion behavior when a drilled hole becomes enlarged. The expansible fixing plug ( ) can be mounted by hammering in without turning the expansion screw ( ). The core diameter of the screw thread ( ) enlarges from the front to the rear to increase the capacity of the expansion screw ( ) to withstand transverse loading.

Expansion anchor

A composite anchor has an anchoring rod and a crushable cartridge filled with two components of a hardenable bonding agent which include a mineral mortar component and a water component separated from one another by crushable separating means. When the cartridge with the separating means is crushed by the anchoring rods the components are mixed by the anchoring rod in order to fix the anchoring rod in a drilled hole. The water component has a thixotropic agent which is paste-like unless it is subjected to shear forces.

Composite anchor

An anchoring cartridge for a hardening multi-component composition on the basis of a resin hardening by the reaction of radicals has an inner cartridge element containing the resin component and fillers and an outer cartridge element containing the hardener component. To allow the anchoring rod to be put in position by hand by driving the anchoring rod in fully, without spurting out or running out occurring during the operation of putting the rod in position, and to enable fillers to be used in both components to increase the strength, the inside width of the annular space between the inner and outer cartridge elements corresponds at least to the wall thickness of a cartridge element. Further, the resin contains a thixotropic agent which increases the viscosity of the resin to such an extent that the filler parts are suspended in the resin. The hardener component, which is present with liquid and optionally fillers and a thixotropic agent as a pasty mixture, completely fills the annular space between the inner and outer cartridge elements.

Anchoring cartridge for hardening multi-component composition

The hardenable mortar composition consists of a bonding agent component including a hydraulic bonding agent, such as cement, gypsum or mortar, and a paste-forming agent consisting of a liquid solvent inert with respect to the hydraulic bonding agent, and an aqueous component kept separate from the bonding agent component until the two components are mixed to form a hardened mortar composition. The aqueous component includes water and a hydrophobic adsorbent or absorbent. The hydrophobic adsorbent or absorbent is included in the aqueous component to avoid the emergence of the paste-forming agent, which is at the very least unsightly, when the aqueous component is mixed with the bonding agent component. The hydrophobic adsorbent or absorbent binds the paste-forming agent which would otherwise escape during mixing and remains as an inert additive in the setting mortar composition, without reducing the hardness thereof.

Hardenable mortar composition

An anchor bolt for anchoring with a compound mass in a hole drilled in a building component comprises a bolt element having a leading end and a rear end, elements for fixing an article at the rear end, and a mixing attachment arranged at the leading end of the bolt element and having a point. The mixing attachment has an outer surface provided with a plurality of radially projecting lugs which are arranged circumferentially and axially spaced from one another.

The mortar composition for fixing an anchoring element in a drilled hole in a substrate consists of a water component and a mineral mortar paste held separately from the water component in a crushable container. The mineral mortar paste includes a mixture of mineral mortar and a liquid solvent chemically inert towards the mineral mortar and the mineral mortar paste is hardenable with the water component to form a hardened mortar compound. The water component consists of water and a thixotropic agent so that the water component acts like a paste when not subject to shear forces but flows when subject to shear forces such as those created by the anchoring element advancing in the drilled hole. The thixotropic agent is advantageously amorphous pyrogenic silicic acid.

Mortar composition including a mineral mortar paste

The anchoring cartridge for anchoring a fastening element in a drilled hole has two chambers. One chamber contains from 1.0 to 10% of a hardener component dissolved in a mixture of styrene and an unaccelerated radical-curing resin and the other chamber contains an accelerator mixed with another mixture of styrene and unaccelerated radical-curing resin. By including unaccererated radical-curing resin in both chambers a homogeneous curing of the components is ensured.

Anchoring cartridge for anchoring a fastening element in a drilled hole

The composite anchoring device consists of an anchoring rod (7) and a cartridge (3) capable of being crushed by the anchoring rod (7). The inner container (5) extends over the length (1) of the cartridge (3) and advantageously includes a central section (8), end sections (10) at each end of the inner container and conical sections (9) connecting each end section (10) with the central section (8). The inner container sections are crushable in succession as the anchoring rod is driven in. The individual container sections (10,9,8) have different volumes and are designed with first breakpoints (11) and second breakpoints (9') of graded resistance so that they are crushed in succession from the ends of the inner container towards the middle starting with the first breakpoints (11) in the end sections (10), and release water held in the respective inner container sections to the surrounding hardenable bonding agent to provide a stronger fixing.

The drilling device has a radially resilient shaft (3) which allows radial displacement of the drill bit (4) and the drill head (5). The radial displacement can be caused by a vibration device (8), but a self-excited oscillation of the resilient shaft (3) can also provide the desired radial displacement of the drill bit and the drill head. The drill shank (2) has a sleeve-shaped shank extension (17) provided with a damping chamber (18) filled with a damping agent (19) and the resilient shaft (3) is in the damping chamber (18) which is sealed by a radially resilient seal (21) surrounding the resilient shaft (3).

Device for producing a drilled hole with an undercut in a facing panel, consisting of a drilling machine and a drilling tool for forming the drilled hole connected to the drilling machine via an adapter for transferring torque; and a holding device of a supporting stand having a swivel bearing for holding the drilling machine so that it can swivel with the drilling tool attached to it. To extend the service life of the drilling tool the adapter consists of a drive part connected to the drilling machine so as to transfer torque and a tool holder connectable with the drive part and a device for releasably securing the tool holder to the drive part so that the center line of the tool holder is inclined relative to the center line of the drive part, which is aligned with the drive axis of the drilling machine, so that only a portion of the circumference of the drilling tool engages the panel during formation of the drilled hole. When the drilling tool is not being driven to form the drilled hole, the tool holder can be detached from the drive part, rotated relative to it and resecured to it so that a fresh engagement region of the drilling tool replaces a worn engagement region.

The device for making a drilled hole with an undercut consists of a drilling machine and connected rotatable drilling tool, a supporting stand for the drilling machine having a holding device with a bearing bush secured in it, and a sleeve fixedly joined to the drilling machine. The sleeve is rotatably mounted in the bearing bush. A lever (35) is attached to the drilling machine (12), a cam plate (39,49) having a circumferential surface (40,60) is attached to the supporting stand (3) and a crank are provided for the lever. An end of the lever (35) remote from the drilling machine (12) is connected with the crank so that the lever can be pivoted and the drilling machine with the drilling tool swung out. The crank has at least one peg engagable on the circumferential face of the cam plate, the circumferentil face acting as a stop for the lever so that the lever can be rotated when the peg engages on the circumferential surface so that the end of the lever remote from the drilling machine describes a circle about a center line of the lever in a neutral position of the lever.

Apparatus for making a drilled hole with an undercut

A connecting element for a facing panel with a hole having a small depth and an undercut, includes an expanding cone insertable into the hole undercut, and thread shaft extending from the expanding cone. A roof-shaped bent expansible element is displaceable over the expanding cone for securing the connecting element in the facing panel hole. The roof-shaped bent expansible element is formed as at least approximately oval metal ring having opposite bent portions abutting the expanding cone.

The device for producing an undercut drilled hole includes a drilling machine, a drilling tool having a drilling head widening conically towards its front end; an adaptor connecting the drilling tool and the drilling machine so that the drilling tool rotates with the drilling machine; a sleeve fixedly connected to the drilling machine and having a circumferentially collar, the adaptor extending through the sleeve with the drilling tool protruding from the sleeve; a fixed bearing bush structured to receive the sleeve so that the sleeve is pivotable in the bearing bush, the circumferential collar including a first axial end face arranged in linear contact with a wall of the bearing bush; and a resiliently deformable element, especially a rubber ring, arranged between an annular disc member connected to the bearing bush and a second axial end face of the circumferential collar opposite to the first axial end face for axially holding the circumferential collar. The circumferential collar and the sleeve are provided with surfaces and structured, so that the drilling machine and the sleeve are pivotable by hand so that the drilling tool is pivotable to make the undercut by a gyrating or wobbling motion. A stand with a holding device which is movable toward and away from the facing panel can be provided. The holding device holds the bearing bush with the drilling machine and tool mounted in it.

An injection packer for injecting a synthetic resin into cracks in concrete has an elongate plastic body having a longitudinal injection channel, an injection nipple arranged at the rear end of the plastic body and communicating with the injection channel, and a sealing cuff made of a plastic material which is softer than a material the plastic body is made of, and fitted in a positive inter-engagement manner around the front end of the plastic body.

An injection adapter for introducing a flowable compound into a drilled hole in masonry has a plastic tubular part having an inner thread in the upper end thereof for engaging a threaded end of a bolt of a fixing element anchored in the drilled hole which threaded end projects from the drilled hole. The injection adapter has a lower tapering end having a front annular end face for engaging an adjacent annular end face of a sleeve of the fixing element.
