A system to transfer people and/or cargo during offshore operations includes a base with a stationary part and a moveable part that is rotatable relative to the stationary part about a substantially vertical first axis; a support arm having a first free end and a second free end opposite the first free end of the support arm; a boom having a first free end and a second free end opposite the first free end of the boom; a load support element; a measurement system; an actuator system; and a control system. The support arm at a location in between the first and second free end of the support arm is mounted to the moveable part of the base such that the support arm is rotatable relative to the moveable part about a substantially horizontal second axis.

System to transfer people and/or cargo during offshore operations

A gangway constructionfor providing access between a vesseland an offshore objectcomprises a support frameand a movably guided gangway. A guiding assembly comprises an upper and lower rotatable pulley wheel. A first cableis connected to the frame or the gangway at a forward and backward connecting positionand extends in a longitudinal direction between this forward and backward connecting position. With this the first cableextends from its forward connecting positiontowards the lower pulley wheel, is guided in for example a counter clockwise direction along at least part of the circumference of the lower pulley wheeland in for example a clockwise direction over at least part of the circumference of the upper pulley wheel, and from the upper pulley wheelextends towards its backward connecting position

Gangway construction having a guiding assembly with pulley wheels and guiding cables

A device for treating the exterior of an aircraft, more particularly the wing and tail surfaces of an aircraft, comprising two gantries disposed on either side of a parking guide line on an aircraft parking place. The gantries are placed to be moved towards one another in a direction transversely to said parking guide line, from a position in which the gantries are mutually spread corresponding to the wing span of an aircraft. Said gantries are each provided with an elongate support beam that extends substantially parallel to said parking guide line and is provided with means for dispensing a treatment fluid, which means is formed by at least one spraying tube extending longitudinally of the respective beam, said spraying tube is equipped with longitudinally spaced spraying nozzles that cooperate with independently controllable valves.

Device for treating the exterior of an aircraft

A general cargo crane for unloading general cargo from a ship's hold, in particular general cargo placed on a pallet, comprises a continuously operating conveyor in a shaft of which at least the bottom part is vertically displaceable. To solve the problem how general cargo can be introduced into the continuously operating conveyor smoothly and with a minimum of manpower, provision is made at the lower end of the shaft (4) for a cage-type frame (15) which is provided at least one side with a deposit platform (16a, 16b) and lifting elements (17, 18) for moving the deposit platform between a lower position in which general cargo can be deposited on the platform and a higher position in which the general cargo can be transferred to the continuously operating conveyor. The cage is provided with a fixed transfer platform (19) at the level of the higher position of the deposit platform, wherein sliding plates (21-26) are present for transferring general cargo standing on the deposit platform in the higher position thereof onto the transfer platform and a push arm is present ( 28, 29) for transferring general cargo standing on the transfer platform from the transfer platform to the continuously operating conveyor.
