Polyethylene based laminated film structure with barrier properties

The present invention deals with a multilayer structure comprising a first polyethylene layer as a first external layer. The first polyethylene layer is oriented in at least machine direction. The structure also comprises a second polyethylene layer as a second external layer. It further comprises a layer made of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol (EVOH) between the first external layer and the second external layer and a tie layer on each side EVOH layer. Furthermore, the tie layers comprise one or more copolymers of ethylene.

Multilayer structure

The present invention relates to a polymer composition, to the use of the polymer composition in film applications and to a film comprising the polymer composition of the invention.

The patent application discloses a polypropylene-plastomer-blend comprising ethylene-based plastomer, which&#x2014;after conversion into final articles and exposing to surface modification like corona treatment, shows improved dyne retention behavior and improved dyne retention ratio over time. Polypropylene films with improved printability

The present invention relates to a polymer blend and the film of the polymer blend or the film layers of the polymer blend as a surface layer or coating. More particularly, the invention relates to a polymer blend which may be extruded as such or extruded onto one or both sides of packaging film to give a sealing surface(s) which exhibits surprisingly heat sealability suitable for form-fill-and-seal-packaging. The present invention also relates the use of ethylene based plastomer to reduce sealability of films comprising polypropylene.
