Downhole apparatus

A downhole tool for investigating an outside fluid flow being adapted to operate in a well bore is presented. The downhole tool comprises a housing surrounded by an outside fluid and at least a first wave generator device. The first wave generator device preferably comprises a directional sound generator, for coupling waves into the surrounding outside fluid. The waves therein are scattered, for example, reflected, at inhomogeneities in the outside fluid, for example particles, scatterers and/or water in oil, thereby generating reflections. Said reflections are measured with a receiver device for receiving said reflections, and are evaluated using an evaluation device for determining first positions of said inhomogeneities in the outside fluid by evaluating said reflections, wherein the evaluation device is adapted to determine the outside fluid flow.

The data acquisition module () is advanced by interaction with a fluid present in the wellbore, and the data acquisition module acquires data providing information on its own position in relation to the wall () of the wellbore () and is controlled on the basis of said data in order to maintain a distance to the wall of the wellbore during its advancement. The invention relates to a device for examining a tubular channel, the device comprising a three-way valve, buoyancy means, pressure means, a vent line, at least one sensor and computation means; wherein the three-way valve controls the fluid flow between the pressure means and the buoyancy means and between the buoyancy means and the vent line; the computation means is communicatively coupled to the at least one sensor and adapted to generate a control signal based on data received from the at least one sensor; and wherein the pressure means is fluidly coupled to the buoyancy means via the three-way valve such that a fluid may flow from the pressure means to the buoyancy means or from the buoyancy means to the surroundings of the device via the vent line; and wherein the computation means is communicatively coupled to the three-way valve and controls said three-way valve via the control signal. Thereby, the invention is able to examine e.g. oil wells containing obstructions such as wash-outs and/or side tracks and/or non-linear parts in open hole completions of the well.

A screen assembly for removing particulates from a fluid in a well bore said well bore being provided with a tubing for transport of fluids inside the tube, said tube being provided with sliding sleeve doors through which the fluids flow from the well bore external the tube and into the tube. The screen assembly comprises a filter arranged external the tubing and covering the sliding sleeve doors, such that the filter prevents particles above a predefined size from entering through the sliding sleeve doors: The screen assembly further comprises a supportive tube having apertures allowing well bore fluids to pass. Furthermore said filter is arranged on the inner side of said supportive tube, such that the filter is placed between the supportive tube and the tube with the sliding sleeve doors. The filter is made from ceramic material.

Apparatus for sealing off a part of a wall in a section drilled into an earth formation, and a method for applying the apparatus

A method for providing one or more seals in an annular space between a well tubular and the surrounding formation or between pipes of a wellbore system includes determining an in-situ temperature, pressure, earth formation properties and one or more fluids present at one or more locations where the seals are desired. A sealing substance is placed at the locations and allowed to flow into the annular space and undergo curing to form one or more seals. The sealing substance may be a setting expoxy based, phenolic based or polyester based fluid that includes at least one solid component. The sealing substance has physical and fluid dynamic properties compatible with the determined in-situ parameters.

A method for downhole injecting treatment fluids, and for providing in an annular space between a well tubular and the surrounding formation or between pipes of a wellbore system, includes loading the treatment fluids into separate fluid containers that are arranged in an injection tool. Each container includes container walls that surround the fluid in the fluid container, and an outlet opening. The method also includes lowering the injection tool body into the wellbore or the well tubular to a predetermined position, and then pumping the fluids from each fluid container into the wellbore or the well tubular.

A shutoff tool for being entered into a well bore and shutting off openings or leaks, said shutoff tool comprising: one or more enclosures prepared for comprising a sealant, said sealant being capable of shutting off openings or leaks when cured. An outer inflatable bladder arranged outside and covering said one or more enclosures, said outer inflatable bladder being prepared for rupturing in positions where it is not supported during inflation, said rupturing will provide access from said one or more enclosures to the outside of said outer inflatable bladder. An inner inflatable bladder arranged inside the outer inflatable bladder and such that said one or more enclosures will be arranged between the outer and the inner inflatable bladders, such that when inflated said inner inflatable bladder can exert a pressure on said one or more enclosures. A core arranged inside said inner inflatable bladder, and prepared for supplying a pressurized fluid into said inner inflatable bladder.

Tool for shutting off openings or leaks in a well bore

A wireline lubricator and a connector includes a first part with a first seal portion and a first throughgoing passage for receiving a part of a wireline, and a second part with a second seal portion and a second throughgoing passage for receiving a part of a wireline. The first part is pivotally connected to the second part such that the connector is capable of assuming a first configuration and a second configuration. The second configuration and the first and second throughgoing passage are aligned. The first and second seal portion engage each other to provide a sealed wireline passage defined by the aligned first and second throughgoing passage.

A system for injecting a substance into the annular space surrounding a well tubular with an assembly to be inserted into a well tubular. The assembly includes a cutting part capable of making a hole through a well tubular; a substance chamber for storage of the substance and a substance injecting part capable of injecting the substance into the annular space. The system includes a cutting part having a chamber with a first end and a second end and having a wall surrounding the chamber and including at least one entrance for substance at the first end and including an exit for delivery through the well tubular and into the annular space at the second end.
