An arcuate or circular profile element of generally V-shaped cross-section has a curved bottom wall, arcuate sidewalls having free edges, and laterally projecting flanges projecting from the free edges. By choosing specific relationships between the thickness of the different parts of the element, lighter-weight elements can be used to withstand the same loads as before, or elements having the same weight as before can be used to support heavier loads.

Profile element for mining applications

A rail mounting system for mounting ties on concrete rails includes one or more concrete rails each having an upper surface from which a passage extends inwardly and downwardly and diverges in downward direction. For each passage there is provided a rail mounting member having a shaft provided at its upper end with a springy portion and at its lower end with a claw which extends laterally of and is inclined to the shaft. The upper open end of the passage has an outline corresponding to a vertical projection of the claw onto the surface of the tie.

Rail mounting system

A resilient rail connection is adjustable laterally and as to height, especially for bridge and tunnel sections. An exchangeable intermediate plate and tie screws hold down the foot portion of the rail and are adapted to be screwed into a roadbed. The supporting plate supports the rail and is provided with laterally upwardly extending flanges. An elastic layer cast underneath the supporting plate rests in a recess of the roadbed. Supporting screws which extend through the flanges laterally support holding blocks, which have an oblong hole extending in a direction transverse to the rails. The holding blocks are connected to the roadbed by means of tie screws which extend through the oblong hole and the exchangeable intermediate plate as well as through the supporting plate and the elastic layer.
