An assembly unit has an assembly part with an assembly side and an opposite outer side. A through opening extends from the outer side to the assembly side. A screw has a head that juts radially over the through opening on the outer side and a shank which reaches through the through opening with radial clearance. The screw has a threaded portion and a non-threaded portion disposed between the threaded portion and the head. A holder fixes the screw captively in the through opening. The holder is held axially movably in the through opening and axially movably on the non-threaded shank portion of the screw. The holder has a disk-shaped flange with a flange opening reached through by the non-threaded shank of the screw.

Assembly unit

An assembly unit includes an assembly part penetrated by a through opening and a cylindrical sleeve which is captively fixed in the through opening. The sleeve has at least one spring element which protrudes from an external face of the sleeve by an excess length in a non-assembled state. The excess length is dimensioned such that the spring element is elastically moved radially inward by contact with the wall of the through opening when the sleeve is introduced into the through opening, so that the spring element presses against the wallof the through opening as a result of elastic restoring forces.

A method for producing an assembly unit includes providing the assembly unit with an assembly part and at least one welding element serving for the thermal joining of the assembly part to a basic construction. The welding element is fixed in a through opening of the assembly part with at least one form-locking connection acting in the direction of the center longitudinal axis of the through opening and having a first end face, a second end face facing away from the first, and a peripheral surface that interconnects the end faces. The welding element has two side faces running parallel to each other and pointing away from each other, a profile that ensures the at least one form-locking connection and two transverse surfaces which connect the side faces one to the other.

A mounting unit includes a mounting part for a mating surface of a basic structure which cannot be welded to the mounting part and a welding element fixed in a through-bore of the mounting part. The welding element corresponds to the bore and has a thickness at least as large as the mounting part. An annular groove is formed in the welding element. A part of the welding element bounding the groove on the outside forms a form-locking connection element expanded outward and fixing the welding element in the bore by a form-locking connection toward the mounting side. A central region radially within the annular groove is a welding surface for the mating surface, is aligned with or protrudes beyond a mounting-side edge region of the bore with an overhang and is aligned with or projects over the form-locking connection element. Assembly unit with an assembly piece and a welding element, and method of producing the assembly unit

An assembly unit is produced according to the following method steps: an assembly part is provided which does not yet have a through bore. A disc-shaped welding element blank with a first end side, a second end side and a peripheral surface is stamped out of a sheet metal blank by a punch and a hole die so that the peripheral surface has a cylindrical longitudinal portion extending away from the first end side, and an adjoining cone portion which tapers towards the second end side and forms with this a cutting edge. The welding element blank is stamped with the cutting edge at the front into the assembly part to thereby form the through bore.

Method for producing an assembly unit

The invention relates to an assembly unit having an assembly part, which is penetrated by a bore and is to be fastened to a basic structure. The basic structure having a shaft, a head, and a fastener. The fastener having a fastening section on the end thereof facing away from the head, which is held captively and movably in the bore between a first axial position and a second axial position. The assembly unit having a spring, which encompasses the shaft and is formed from a wound spring wire and which holds the fastener captively in the bore. The spring wire is wound in a spiral shape such that the windings thereof do not overlap in the radial direction relative to the spring axis.

An assembly unit attachable to a base structure has at least one assembly part with a through opening and at least one fastener with a radially expanded head and a shaft that is provided with a fastening section extends through the through opening and is held captive therein. The shaft is encircled by a sleeve and the head of the fastener projects in a radial direction over the sleeve. Two stop elements project from the outer circumferential surface of the sleeve. An axial catch projects from the wall of the through opening. The axial catch and the stop elements are embodied such that they can be moved past each other in axial direction. The axial catch inside the through opening and the second stop element on the outer circumferential surface are respectively arranged in an axial position. The fastening section is arranged in a specific axial position relative to the surface of the assembly part that is facing away from the head.

A cover for a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine having a connecting element for attachment the cylinder head and a sealing element arranged between the cylinder head cover and the cylinder head. The connecting element is associated with a connecting area, and the sealing element is associated with a sealing area. The connecting area and the sealing area are constructed independently of each other and are spatially separated from each other, and the force vectors of the connecting force transmitted by the connecting element and the sealing force transmitted by the sealing element form an angle with each other.

An arrangement for attaching an assembly component with variable spacing to an understructure with the aid of a fastening element is provided. The fastening element comprises a fixing bolt, a spacer element with a cylindrical outside surface and an elastomeric sleeve. The fixing bolt is embraced by the cylindrical outside surface of the spacer element and is provided on one end with a radially overhanging head with a larger outside diameter than the spacer element and on the other end with a fixing section that interacts with a counter element. The elastomeric sleeve encloses the spacer element, is positioned inside a bore of the assembly component and is longer than the spacer element, wherein the elastomeric sleeve can be displaced axially relative to the bore in the assembly component as well as relative to the spacer element.

Arrangement for attaching an assembly component with variable spacing to an understructure

A mounting unit includes a mounting part having an activation side defining an opening leading to a throughbore. A fixing part is insertable into the throughbore is fastenable to the mounting part, the fixing part including: a head which allows a fastening of the fixing part to the mounting part; a shaft adjoining the head on a top end thereof and being insertable with its bottom portion and with radial play into the throughbore; fixing projections disposed at the bottom portion of the shaft and extending beyond a cross section of the shaft in a plane perpendicular to the shaft longitudinal axis, the fixing projections being effective over an entire circumference of the shaft for fastening the fixing part to the mounting part; and an undercutting space disposed between the head and the fixing projections. A holding sleeve is adapted to be fastened to the mounting part and to surround the shaft and the fixing projections with radial play after the fixing part is inserted into the mounting part. The sleeve includes a holding collar at a top end thereof having a plurality of holding projections distributed across its circumference which allow the fixing part to pass therethrough unhindered during its insertion into the mounting part. The holding projections are deformable such that they project into the undercutting space in a radially inward direction after an insertion of the fixing part into the mounting part thereby lockingly opposing a loosening of the fixing part with respect to the mounting part.

Mounting unit and method of making same

In a method for making an assembly unit from an assembly bolt (3) that has a bolt head (9) and a shaft (6) and from a sleeve that has an axially movable annular collar (11) toward the head that surrounds a partial axial region of the shaft, first the shaft that has a counterpart back-engagement part is introduced into the sleeve, and then at least one back-engagement part on the sleeve is created by means of a stamping oriented essentially inward from the outer jacket face. The stamping has an action that is oriented radially inward and an action oriented toward the bolt head (9). In the stamping, a counterholder presses against the bearing face (22) of the annular collar (11) oriented toward the bolt head (9).

Method for making an assembly unit

An assembly arrangement includes: an assembly element defining a mounting hole therein; and a cuff inserted into the mounting hole in a vibration-damping manner, the cuff being made of an elastic rubber material and defining a through hole therein. The cuff further includes a cuff neck resting in the mounting hole and defining, over an entire length thereof, an outer circumferential surface extending essentially along a longitudinal axis of the cuff, and a fastening region having an inner wall which protrudes radially inwardly into the through hole, the fastening region extending over a portion of a circumference of the through hole. The assembly arrangement further includes: an assembly sleeve inserted into the through hole and including a jacket having a circumferential configuration such that when the assembly sleeve passes through the fastening region of the cuff, it widens the inner walls of the fastening region in a radial direction thereby fastening the cuff and the assembly sleeve in the mounting hole; and a screw. The screw includes a screw shaft inserted into the assembly sleeve and a screw head adjacent the screw shaft, wherein the cuff is configured such that it is acted upon in a tightening direction of the screw by at least one of the screw head and an annular collar of the assembly sleeve.

A process for inserting an insert element into a flat sheet metal piece to form a connected element includes the steps of providing the insert element with a head and a shank. A concentric annular groove forms a constriction between the head and the shank. A plurality of separate projections are circumferentially arranged on a seating surface of the head and provide a twisting resistance between the insert element and the sheet metal piece. Each separate projection has a length that extends approximately radially relative to a longitudinal axis of the insert element. The sheet metal piece is provided with a perforation for receiving the shank. The perforation has an edge that forms a collar that projects out from a plane defined by a surface of the sheet metal piece. The shank is inserted through the perforation, and is pressed toward the sheet metal piece to cause the collar to be bent in a direction toward the plane so that the collar is essentially level with the surface of the sheet metal piece in a region between adjacent projections. The pressing causes the seating surface to firmly rest against the surface of the sheet metal piece, and causes a reduction in the perforation diameter so that the collar fills the annular groove, and so that only the projections enter the sheet metal piece in an axial direction.

An assembly unit includes an assembly element having a wall bounding a through hole thereof; and a counterpart back engagement part protruding radially inwardly from the wall and into the through hole. The assembly unit further includes a fastening element to be inserted into the through hole for assuming an initial position and a final assembly position therein, having a head for actuating a fastening of the fastening element; a shaft disposed adjacent the head for resting with radial play in the through hole, the shaft resting entirely in the through hole in the final assembly position of the fastening element; and a back engagement part disposed on the shaft and having a cross section in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the shaft which protrudes beyond a cross section of the shaft in the plane. The shaft defines an undercut region between the head and the back engagement part. When the shaft rests in the through hole, the counterpart back engagement protrudes toward the undercut region and cooperates with the back engagement part to captively retain the fastening element in the through hole. The undercut region defines a constriction therein positioned such that, in the final assembly position of the fastening element, the constriction is disposed, in a radial direction, adjacent the counterpart back engagement part.
