An antenna array for a motor vehicle includes at least one AM antenna for receiving long wave, medium wave and/or short wave signals as well as at least one additional electrically conductive structural part that is arranged so as to be adjacent to the AM antenna. The additional structural part is connected to a ground potential and/or supply potential of the motor vehicle by at least one filter element, by which the signal frequencies in at least one frequency range that is to be received by the AM antenna are suppressed.

Antenna array for a motor vehicle

An antenna configuration is provided for radio reception in motor vehicles, the roof region of which is made predominantly of dielectric materials, and for motor vehicles having roof structures that can be collapsed for open driving operation. The antenna configuration includes a combination of emitters that are integrated into elements of the roof region, with emitters that are disposed in cavities of the interior paneling essentially below the belt line of the vehicle. A ground connection is provided for emitters that are disposed in a roof structure having movable elements by way of at least one resilient contact between movable metal components of the roof structure and the metal car body. Also included is a switching system for alternating operation of the emitters.

Antenna configuration for radio reception in motor vehicles

A vehicle body has a plurality of flat and rod-shaped synthetic plastic elements, and a plurality of antennas connected with the synthetic plastic elements for reception and transmission of various frequencies, the synthetic plastic elements at least partially being provided with surfaces and tracks of a differently thick metal coating, the metal coating being structured so that a selection of the antennas for identical or different frequencies and ground reference surfaces as well as regions with screening action are provided, and depending on an operational frequency and a required radiation diagram, radiations with various operational principals being produced, and the surfaces which act for one frequency as radiators for other frequencies belonging to a ground potential, the antennas and ground reference surfaces produced by a structuring as well the regions with screening action being distributed over synthetic plastic elements, the synthetic plastic elements for a predetermined antenna principle being metalized in two planes located one behind the other with a distance from one another which is operationally important for a corresponding operational principle.
