A method for fixing a bearing ring on or in a component includes applying an adhesive to a surface of the bearing ring having a least one annular groove-shaped receiving space defined therein such that the adhesive at least partially fills the at least one annular groove-shaped receiving space. The adhesive is allowed to pre-cure on the surface until the adhesive is no longer sticky and then the bearing ring and the component are joined in a desired relative position, such a radial distance between a base of the at least one annular groove-shaped receiving space and the component is larger than a radial distance between the surface and the component. The adhesive is then activated so that the adhesive increases in volume and produces an adhesive bond between the bearing ring and the component.

Method for fixing a bearing ring on or in a component

Roller bearing for supporting members with limited axial movement, consisting of bearing elements having confronting raceways and a plurality of rolling elements held in a cage between the raceways. One of the raceways is bounded by flanges defining contact surfaces. At least one end surface of the cage (3) has elastic segments (9), radially oriented sections (10) of which engage in a groove (11) in one of the bearing elements. In the terminal axial positions of the one bearing element (2) relative to the other bearing element (1), the radially oriented sections (10) of the cage (3) rest against the lateral surfaces (13) of the groove (11).

A support roll assembly adapted to be rotatably journalled between spaced frame members comprising an elongated hollow support roll, and support pins mounted in opposite axial ends of said roll, at least one of said support pins being supported in a ball bearing consisting of an outer ring having a generally cylindrical outer race and terminating in a radially inwardly facing thrust shoulder, an inner member having a groove-shaped inner race and formed integrally with the support pin and a plurality of balls arranged in the annular space between the inner and outer races and elastic means in the form of a sealing plug adapted to be mounted in the thrust shoulder of the outer ring and including an axially inwardly yielding elastic wall confronting the inner axial end face of the inner member and fastening means in the form of a fastening screw member engaging in the threaded bore section of the inner member to secure the inner member and support pin to the frame and being of a predetermined configuration so that the inner end of the fastening screw is engageable with the inside front face of the said sealing plug.
