A radiation detector is disclosed for the detection of ionizing radiation, preferably in a medical diagnosis and/or therapy system, having at least one detector element which is at least partially enclosed by an encapsulation compound. The encapsulation compound at least partially reflects light which is produced during the absorption of the ionizing radiation in the at least one detector element. Further, the detection of the radiation is carried out indirectly by detection of the generated light, wherein the encapsulation compound is made of a multicomponent mixture which converts compounds produced because of radiation, which generate color changes of the encapsulation compound, at least partially into colorless nonabsorbing compounds.

Radiation detector

A simple method for passivation of a component is presented which is particularly suitable for processing high-viscosity plastics. The component is arranged in a preproduced plastic body and is connected to the body. This method is proposed for the production of a piezoactuator arrangement, which is utilized for controlling injection valves in internal-combustion engines. The plastic consists of solid silicone and/or fluorinated silicone elastomer.

In the operation of piezoactuators of multilayer construction, during the polarizing or during the operation of the piezoactuator tears can arise, due to voltages, in the metallization strips that are attached to the actuator on the outside for contacting the electrode layers. It is inventively proposed to install electrically conductive contact lugs directly at the stack or on the metallization strips such that a laterally protruding region remains, so that, even given arising tears, these nevertheless extend in the protruding region of the contact lug, and the tears are electrically bridged. Electrical terminal elements are provided so as the project above or laterally at the contact lugs.

Halogen-free epoxy resins that arise from the addition of an epoxy component to a phenol component with base catalysis are disclosed, whereby the molar mass can be adjusted by means of the molar ratios of the initial materials. An otoplastic is manufactured directly in the ear of a hearing-impaired person in that a deformable envelope is pulled over a die or over a shell or over an overlayed over-shell. This apparatus is then supplied with flowing otoplastic material between the die and the envelope, being supplied therewith in the ear. The envelope expands and assumes the shape of the auditory canal. After hardening or curing of the otoplastic material in the ear of the hearing-impaired person, the envelope and the die are removed and a module of either an in-the-ear or of a behind-the-ear hearing aid is integrated therewith.
