In a guide apparatus for a copy master, guide elements are provided which define a transport plane of the copy master and which comprise lateral walls located essentially perpendicular to the plane of transport of the master and approximately parallel to the direction of copy master transport. The lateral walls guide the lateral edges of the copy master. A detector is further provided to detect the information applied near lateral edges of the copy master. The lateral walls of the guide apparatus are laterally adjustable in case of variations of the width of the copy master in the plane of transport.

Guide apparatus for copy masters

A manual device for the detection of photometric values on a printed product comprises a measuring head extruding from a housing into a measuring position. The measuring head is mounted together with its optical components on a measuring carriage, which may be displaced along the bottom of the housing by means of a drive motor between a rest position and a measuring position. The drive motor drives via a gear, a drive pulley and a grid axle for a monochromator. A sliding gear and a locking device are coordinated with the drive pulley, with the locking device immobilizing the measuring carriage precisely in the measuring position. The drive motor serves to displace the measuring carriage until the locking process essentially begins; and after this process, serves to rotate the grid axle.

Manual device for the determination or measurement of photometric data

A densitometer is described which is equipped with an extendable and retractable measuring head driven by an electric motor. In the retracted rest position, a measuring diaphragm is visible to the user and the instrument may be positioned. In the extended working position the measuring head covers the measuring diaphragm. By means of the electric drive of the measuring head, the risk of erroneous positioning is avoided.
