The present invention relates to a housing provided for a rolling mill. The housing includes two sidewalls and at least two horizontal beams for receiving a roll unit. This construction is characterized in having at least one further additional beam arranged in a vertical spacing to the beams, whereby the beams pass through the side walls or are fastened partly outside thereof.

A roll mill, particularly a flaking mill with a product channel on each of the axial ends of the rollers utilizes at least two rollers having guide channels with adjoining guide surfaces, at their axial ends, with the guide channels and guide surfaces, conveying the product to be milled into the converging gap or nip of the rollers. The guide surfaces are pivotable via a piston-cylinder unit from an operating position into a discharge position where in the latter position, foreign objects which have accumulated on the guide surface are removed via an open flap, below the guide surface, into a container.

Squeezing roll mill

A roll mill, particularly a flaking mill, for milling particulate material comprises at least two rollers, especially a stationary roller and a movable one, pressed against each other by means of a pressure exerting device. Product is supplied in a width greater than the axial width of the rollers and their nip. Channels are arranged on both lateral ends of the rollers and collect the material fed in excess of the axial length of the rollers, said channels being preferably open towards the rollers, especially over their whole length. Each of said channels discharges onto a guide surface situated above the nip of the rollers and discharges in turn all the material from the channels into the nip above the upper gripping zone of the nip.
