A magazine of a pistol for cartridges with a case rim, having a hollow magazine body for accommodating the cartridges in two vertically offset rows, a base plate, a feeder, which is guided in a displaceable manner in the magazine body, and a compression spring between the feeder and the base plate, wherein the upper end region of the magazine body forms a narrowing, in which the two rows of cartridges are guided together to form a single row. In order to ensure a reliable feed of the cartridges despite the case rim, in the longitudinal center the side walls have inwardly directed beads which run over the entire height of the side walls and merge, in the upper region, into converging guide ribs, and the feeder forms a bearing surface, which is convex in the longitudinal direction and on which a cartridge located thereon can alter its angle of inclination in relation to the horizontal.

A pistol is provided, on the plastic housing of which a sliding carriage containing the barrel is guided in the longitudinal direction, which housing has a trigger guard at the transition to a grip stock, and in which housing a locking block is arranged; for an especially light embodiment that is simple to manufacture and nevertheless robust, the locking block forms a unit with the guiding elements of the sliding carriage, which unit is arranged in front of the magazine well and extends forward as far as the trigger guard, as a result of which the guide length is shortened. The locking block is fixed in the housing by a front cross pin and a rear cross pin and accommodates a locking bolt approximately over the second cross pin.

A method of locking a barrel of a firearm with respect to a barrel slide is provided. The method including the steps of: movably mounting a barrel slide to a housing of the firearm; movably mounting a barrel to the barrel slide; movably mounting a pair of locking bodies in a transverse groove of a head of the barrel; and securing a locking block to the housing, wherein movement of the head of the barrel with respect to the locking block in a longitudinal direction causes the barrel to be locked to the barrel slide, wherein the pair of locking bodies engage recesses on the barrel slide when the barrel is locked to the barrel slide, wherein the locking block has two first wedge surfaces which are symmetrical about a longitudinal center plane and the locking bodies are elongated cylinders, the circumferential surface of which has two parallel planar guide surfaces resting in the transverse groove, a second wedge surface which faces the other locking body and interacts with the first wedge surfaces of the locking block, and an engagement surface which faces away from the other locking body in each case and is intended for engaging in the respective recess of the barrel slide when the barrel is locked to the barrel slide.

A pistol has a housing, a barrel slide, a barrel and a locking device for locking the barrel to the barrel slide. The locking device is formed by a head of the barrel, a locking block and a pair of locking bodies. The locking bodies engage the barrel slide by the action of the locking block and thus lock the barrel to the barrel slide. The locking block has two first wedge surfaces which are symmetrical about a longitudinal center plane. Each locking body is an elongated cylinder having a second wedge surface which faces the other locking body and interacts in a sheetlike manner with the first wedge surfaces of the locking block. Each locking body has an engagement surface which faces away from the other locking body and is intended for engaging respective recess of the barrel slide.

A magazine for improved stacking capacity includes a housing, a front wall connected to a back wall by sidewalls, a base, a spring adapted to be received inside a recess in the base in order to reduce the space occupied by the spring. The spring having various spiral sections wherein the spiral section having different lengths so that the spiral sections fit into each other when the spring is compressed against cartridges in order to enable stacking of additional cartridges.

A pistol including a grip, a barrel slide movable on the grip in a firing direction, and a barrel capable of being interlocked with the barrel slide. A first locking device includes a projection provided on the outer contour of the barrel and has a forward-facing first inclined surface. A second locking device includes a lever pivotably guided in the barrel slide and a dog having a rearward-facing, second inclined surface cooperating with the first inclined surface. The unlocking means includes a stop that is provided in the grip and cooperates with a lug of the barrel. When the barrel impacts against the stop and the barrel slide continues its movement, the inclined surfaces slide relative to each other, and the lever is pivoted against the force of a spring such that the dog releases the barrel slide.

A handgun and a locking device for a handgun are disclosed, which handgun includes a housing, a magazine-receiving space in the housing, a slide movable in the housing, and a trigger mechanism; the locking device includes a locking body to be inserted in the magazine-receiving space, the locking body at least partially being shaped like a magazine and including a releasable catch engaging in the magazine-receiving space when the locking body is in its inserted state, and cooperating with an eccentric provided in the locking body.

For a pistol having a hollow pistol grip in which a magazine for rounds which is insertable from below is held, a magazine catch is provided which is realeasable from either side, offers a maximum of safety, is user friendly and has relatively few parts. The magazine has a lug on its front wall; in the front part of the pistol grip a sliding block is arranged so as to be displaceable in transverse direction, which is held in its middle position by at least one spring, in which position the lug rests on the sliding block. The sliding block has a vertical groove on either side of the lug, which can be brought into the path of movement of the lug during insertion of the magazine by displacement of the sliding block in either one of the two directions.

A pistol includes of a pistol body, a slide and a trigger mechanism which includes: a firing bolt, a horizontal control ramp in the slide, a guide coulisse and a guide finger cooperating with the former, a control spring fastened in the pistol body and deflectable in transverse direction, and a trigger bar hinged to a trigger and cooperating with the control ramp, the guide coulisse and the control spring, the trigger bar having a catch nose retaining the firing bolt lug. To achieve enhanced smooth-running and reproducible precision with a minimum of production costs, the control spring has a disc in its upper end region, the contour of said disc being round in the plane of the trigger bar, and the trigger bar has a substantially vertical catch nose in its rear end region and an oblique rear edge cooperating with said disc.

A pistol with a firing pin includes a firing pin safety provided in the breech part. To afford a firing pin safety that is as simple and operationally safe as possible, a resilient tongue attached on an external side face of the breech part is provided, which resilient tongue forms a hook extending into the interior of the breech part, which hook comes to lie in front of a shoulder provided on the striker when the latter is in its cocked position, and the resilient tongue has a downwardly projecting web which cooperates with the trigger arm. The resilient tongue is integrally formed with an ejector spring.
