Aqueous dispersions comprise a specific copolymer based on acrylate, a specific paraffin wax and one or more dispersants. The dispersions have high stability and are useful for treating textile fabrics, conferring outstanding water-repellent properties thereon.

Flourine-free aqueous dispersion for treating textile fabrics

Copolymers which are composed of at least 4 monomers, including (meth)acrylate compounds containing perfluoroalkyl groups, are suitable for the treatment of fiber materials. The copolymers are usually used here in the form of aqueous dispersions. The fiber materials are in particular fabrics, for example made of polyolefin. Treatment with the copolymers imparts to them oil- and water-repellent properties and also repellent properties toward low molecular weight alcohols.

Copolymers containing perfluoroalkyl groups and aqueous dispersions thereof

The use is described of aqueous dispersions in combination with fluoropolymers for oil- and water-repellent finishing of fiber materials. These dispersions have a long shelf life and contain a composition which is preparable by reaction of polyfunctional isocyanates with a deficiency of comparatively long-chain monohydric alcohols, subsequent reaction with a deficiency of a ketone oxime and final reaction with polyhydric alcohols or amino alcohols.

Extender for treatment of fiber materials

Fiber materials in the form of fabrics receive, as a result of treatment with compositions according to the invention, a pleasant soft hand and excellent oil-and water-repelling properties with good permanence. The compositions can be obtained by a) preparing a solution of a polysiloxane and an extender with blocked isocyanate groups in an organic solvent, b) dispersing this solution in water, c) removing the organic solvent and d) combining the aqueous dispersion obtained with a second aqueous dispersion which comprises a polymer with perfluoroalkyl groups. One variant of this preparation process consists in cousing a polymer with perfluoroalkyl groups as early as in step a). In this case, step d) can be omitted.

Compositions of polysiloxanes, fluoropolymers extenders

Compositions comprising an ester with perfluoroalkyl groups and an oligo- or polyurethane which may likewise contain perfluoroalkyl groups are useful for the oil and water repellant finishing of sheetlike textile materials. The compositions may additionally include acrylic polymers having perfluoroalkyl groups and extenders. Especially the use of nonionic aqueous dispersions of the compositions makes it possible to obtain textiles with little if any effect losses after mechanical abrasion and good LAD effects.

Compositions for the oil and water repellent finishing of fiber materials

Aqueous dispersions comprising as component A) a compound containing two or more blocked isocyanate groups in the molecule and as component B) a compound obtainable by reacting a diepoxy compound with a diamine or polyamine and subsequently reacting the resulting reaction product with an acid and possibly as component C) a dispersant are suited together with fluorine containing oligomers or polymers for the oil-, water- and soil-repellent finishing of fiber materials.

Aqueous dispersions for textile finishing

Products which are produced by reaction of diisocyanates with di- or polyhydric alcohols and/or with one or more mono- and/or diethers of such alcohols and subsequent reaction with organic amines containing two or more alcoholic hydroxyl groups and subsequent blocking of free isocyanate groups are suitable for the finishing of fiber materials, in particular in the form of aqueous dispersions as extenders for use in combination with polymers containing perfluoroalkyl groups for the oil-, water- and soil-repellent finishing of fiber materials.
