The present invention relates to a heterophasic propylene polymer (HECO) comprising a) 65 to 90 wt. % of a matrix component (M) selected from a propylene homo- or random copolymer (PP); and b) 10 to 35 wt. % of an ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR), dispersed in the propylene homo- or random copolymer (PP), whereby the xylene cold soluble fraction (XCS) of the heterophasic propylene polymer (HECO) has&#x2014;an ethylene content of 10.0 to 17.0 wt. %; &#x2014;an intrinsic viscosity (IV), determined according to ISO 1628-1:2009, of at least 1.6 dl/g; and the xylene cold insoluble fraction (XCI) of the heterophasic propylene polymer (HECO) has 2, 1-erythro regiodefects in an amount of at least 0.4 mol % to a composition comprising the heterophasic propylene polymer (HECO), a process for its preparation and an article comprising the heterophasic propylene polymer (HECO) or the composition comprising the same.

Single-site catalyst based impacted copolymers with excellent mechanical and optical properties

A heterophasic propylene ethylene copolymer having an MFRof 0.5 to 100 g/10 min and obtained using single site catalysis comprising: (i) at least 40 wt % of a propylene homopolymer or propylene ethylene copolymer matrix having up to 4 wt % comonomer; (ii) at least 10 wt % of an ethylene propylene rubber dispersed in the matrix, said heterophasic propylene ethylene copolymer having a xylene cold soluble content (XS) of 12 to 60%; wherein the ethylene content of the xylene cold soluble fraction of said heterophasic propylene ethylene copolymer is between 18 and 70 wt. %; and wherein the intrinsic viscosity of the XS fraction of said heterophasic propylene ethylene copolymer is greater than the intrinsic viscosity of the matrix fraction of said copolymer.

Heterophasic copolymer

Process for producing a heterophasic propylene copolymer using a specific class of metallocene complexes in a multistage polymerization process including a gas phase polymerization step. The invention further relates to the use of catalysts which comprise a specific class of metallocene complexes to produce a heterophasic propylene copolymer in a multistep process including a gas phase polymerization step.

Process for preparing heterophasic propylene copolymers

The present invention relates to an olefin polymerization process, wherein propylene and a C4 to C10 a-olefin, preferably 1-butene and optionally ethylene are reacted in the presence of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst so as to obtain a polypropylene, wherein the polypropylene comprises C4 to C10 a-olefin, preferably 1-butene-derived comonomer units in an amount of from 0.5 wt % to 15 wt % and ethylene-derived comonomer units in an amount of 0 wt % to 3 wt %, and wherein the Ziegler-Natta catalyst comprises i) an external donor of the formula (I): (R)(RO)Si(R)x and ii) a solid Ziegler-Natta catalyst component being free of external carrier material.

Process for preparing propylene polymer compositions

The present invention relates to an olefin polymerization process, wherein propylene and 1-butene and optionally ethylene are reacted in the presence of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst system so as to obtain a polypropylene, wherein the polypropylene comprises 1-butene-derived comonomer units in an amount of from 0.5 to 15 wt % and optionally ethylene-derived comonomer units in an amount of up to 3 wt %, and the Ziegler-Natta catalyst system comprises an external donor of the formula (I)(R)(RO)Si(R)&#x2003;&#x2003;(I).

Process for preparing propylene copolymers

A heterophasic propylene ethylene copolymer having an MFRof 0.5 to 100 g/10 m in and obtained using single site catalysis comprising: (i) a propylene homopolymer or propylene ethylene copolymer matrix having up to 4 wt % ethylene; and (ii) an ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) dispersed in the matrix; said heterophasic propylene ethylene copolymer having a xylene cold soluble content (XS) of 20 to 40%; wherein the ethylene content of the xylene cold soluble fraction of said heterophasic propylene ethylene copolymer is between 70 and 90 wt. %; wherein the xylene cold soluble fraction of said heterophasic propylene ethylene copolymer has an intrinsic viscosity (IV) of 3.0 dl/g or more; and wherein the melting enthalpy (&#x394;HM) of the heterophasic propylene ethylene copolymer is between 10 and 30 J/g at a temperature of 0 to 130&#xb0; C.

Heterophasic polypropylene polymer

The present invention relates to a process for preparing a propylene random copolymer comprising polymerization of propylene with a comonomer, said comonomer being ethylene or an &#x3b1;-olefin comprising at least four carbon atoms, in the presence of a catalyst in a multistage process comprising polymerization of propylene with a comonomer in a first reaction zone including at least one slurry reactor to give a first polymerization product, transferring said first product to a second reaction zone including at least one gas phase reactor and polymerisations of propylene with a comonomer in said gas phase reactor in the presence of said first polymerization product, wherein the temperature in the gas phase reactor is at least 10&#xb0; C. higher than in the slurry reactor and to a polymer obtainable by this process. Furthermore, the invention relates to a propylene random copolymer prepared by copolymerization of propylene with a comonomer wherein the distribution of the comonomer determined according to the TREF method is multimodal, preferably bimodal, a propylene random copolymer prepared by copolymerization of propylene with a comonomer wherein the copolymer is having an elution interval determined according to the TREF method of 50&#xb0; C. or more, a propylene random copolymer prepared by copolymerization of propylene with a comonomer, wherein the random copolymer is a unimodal polymer and the elution interval determined by the TREF method is given by the equation Y&#x2266;4.5&#xb7;m+16 wherein Y is the elution interval in &#xb0; C. and m is the percentage of ethylene in the copolymer in wt. %, and to the use of such a copolymers for the production of a film, of an article by blow moulding or injection moulding, of a fiber or of a pipe.
