Tear-off package with pull-tab

A tubular pouch is provided with a tear-open strip which begins at a U-shaped perforation formed in one of two edge strips of the pouch which are joined across a junction area by cold-sealing into tubular pouch fins. The U-shaped perforation defines a grip formed by the wrapping material inside it and includes legs extending toward and entering the junction area. However, in its remaining portion, the U-shaped perforation does not reach as far as the junction area and thereby manufacturing tolerances relating to the U-shaped perforation and the relief cold bondings as well as lateral shifts between the two edge strips cannot result in bonding of the grip. When the grip is pulled to open the wrap, the wrapping material tears from the ends of the perforation along approximately parallel lines. The grip can be advantageously folded over 180.degree. in order to be readily grasped.

The invention concerns a tube-pouch wrap comprising a fin 2 within which two strip edges 3 of the wrapping material are joined together at their inner sides by a peelable cold seal, the junction area including one sub-section 4 at each end of the two edge strips 3 and an unsealed middle zone 5 being present between said subsections. An adhesive label 6 is folded about the fin edge 8 to connect the two edge strips 3 of the fin to close the wrap hermetically and to serve as an opening accessory, said adhesive label covering the middle zone 5 and overlapping the two sub-sections of the fin 2 by bonding to the fin surface. At one side of the fin, the adhesive label 6 comprises a strip edge 11 forming a grip 12 unbonded to the fin surface. Advantageously the fin 2 is so folded on the wrap envelope 13 and bonded to it that the grip 12 is uppermost.

Package for packing pieces of goods, especially subdivided or subdividable packing goods having an at least approximately even surface area, with a wrapper made of foldable packing material and having at least two strip-shaped doubling areas, each being formed by two strip-shaped areas of the packing material connected with each other at the surface of the packing material generally facing the packing goods, to form a strip-shaped sealing zone, so that each doubling area shows an outer edge, whereby the wrapper is opened by severing the sealing of the sealing zone of at least one of the doubling areas, characterized in that the wrapper includes two of said spaced strip-shaped doubling areas (23', 24') at said at least approximately even surface area, that each of the outer edges of each of these doubling areas (23', 24') are formed by the outer edges of the two strip-shaped areas of the packing material forming the doubling area, and that a tearing up zone (26) is laterally defined by two of said outer edges of the packing material at the outer edges of said two doubling areas.

Method for the production of a compound foil as an endless strip, the compound foil to be processed in the form of rectangular blanks covering a width of the endless strip characterized in that two different foil strips, of which a first strip contains an aluminum foil (4) or a paper are drawn through a lamination machine with tractive forces to overcome friction losses in the machine, these tractive forces producing different elongations in said two different foil strips, that one of the endless strips is provided at one side surface with a binding agent over a connecting surface, which consists of several partial areas (3, 13) separated from each other, that the two strips are connected to each other while the both strips being elastically stretched to different elongations as the strips are drawn through the lamination machine whereby after the two foil strips coming back again to their non-stretched starting state, that surfaces of the blanks each have one central area and two margin areas (9, 12) bordering on two blanks surface margins extending both in the endless strip extension, with, in each instance, in those margin areas (9, 12 ) a first proportion defined by the connecting surface area divided by the margin area surface being significantly greater than a second proportion defined by the connecting surface at the central area divided by the central area surface and that in the margin areas (9, 12) of the blank surface the said first proportion is at most 75%.

A package for packaging solid products with a wrapping formed from a flat, foldable packaging material and provided with a means to aid in opening the wrapping, the wrapping having a strip-shaped lamination segment of the packaging material formed by two layers of the packaging material joined together by a strip-shaped bonding segment, perforations and/or material weaknesses being provided in the strip-shaped bonding segment (15,20,26,32) as the means to aid opening situated in one of the two layers (11,18,27,33) of the lamination segment (2,17,25,31).
