The invention relates to aqueous coating compositions for producing primer and/or filler layers in a multi-layer coating, in particular in vehicle coating, comprising the following components:

Aqueous primer surfacer compositions

Aminourethane hardeners, epoxide-based coating media and the use thereof

Aqueous dispersion of silane-functional polyurethane resins having a number average molecular weight of 10000 to 500000 and a silicon content of 1 to 30 mmol per 100 g of resin solids obtainable by reacting

Aqueous dispersion of silane-functional polyurethane resins, coating

Aqueous coating composition, containing I) one or more amine hardeners, II) one or more water-dilutable epoxy resins, III) one or more pigments and/or fillers and IV) water and optionally one or more solvents and/or conventional lacquer additives, wherein the composition of the coating composition is selected in such a way that a hardened free film formed from the coating composition with a coat thickness between 30 and 80 .mu.m has a storage modulus E' of 10.sup.8 Pa to 5.times.10.sup.9 Pa in a temperature range from -50.degree. C. to 150.degree. C.
