A drill bit is provided with a pair of spiral cutting blades having opposed cutting edges which come together at an angle to form a starting tip. Each of the spiral cutting blades includes a spiral flute which extends longitudinally thereof and is provided with a cutting face thereon. Each cutting edge is provided with an inner edge segment and an outer edge segment wherein the inner edge segment extends outwardly from the starting tip a preselected distance and terminates at an inwardly extending inner wall portion of a gullet. The inner wall portion of the gullet is arcuate in structure and terminates at a preselected inward position with an outer wall of the gullet. The outer wall of the gullet extends angularly outwardly terminating at the intersection with an outer segment of the cutting edge. The outer edge segment of the cutting edge is defined by the outward terminating end of the outer wall of the gullet and the outer most extremity of the cutting edge.

For example, the tool shank has a hex shaped portion integral to the two part ergonomic handle, which, with the dual molded handle composition, provides these increased tool capabilities. The ergonomic handle has a polypropylene core molded about the shank and a thermoplastic rubber cushion grip molded about the polypropylene core.

A multiple saw blade adjustable dado cutter assembly. The cutter can be used with a table saw or a radial arm saw, for example, to make dado cuts in board lumber. A pair of cooperating cams, each connected to a saw blade, can be adjusted to make a dado cut of a desired width. If the desired dado width is wider than the two blade configuration can cut, a center cam attached to another blade can be inserted between the pair of cooperating cams. With the three blade configuration, the three cams cooperate to allow the three blades to be spaced for the desired width of cut. In both configurations and at any spacing width, the two or three blades employed remain in a generally parallel alignment and transverse to the axis of the arbor on which the assembly is secured. To permit the blades to function with this geometrical relationship and to be adjustable, not all of the blade teeth lie in the same plane. The sequentially operating three or more cam assembly has uses beyond dado cutting. Also, the blades can be made to mount directly onto a saw arbor with spacer washers taking the place of the cam assembly. For industrial applications, more than three blade configurations are envisioned.

A drill bit for drilling holes around the corner of a workpiece is provided with a single rounded continuous cutting edge with radiused upper and lower corners to permit free rotation of the cutting head as it is urged along an arcuate path. The bit is of a unique two piece construction permitting selective materials to be utilized in the shank an cutting head portions.

A caulking gun holder/driver is adapted to be driven by a cordless screwdriver or other power driver and includes two different shafts to which the driver can be attached. The holder/driver has a receptacle for receiving a tube of caulk, a threaded pusher rod with a pusher plate at its distal end to drive the caulk out of the receptacle, and flats at the proximal end to receive a power driver for 'high speed' advance or retraction of the threaded driving rod, and a main drive shaft adaptable to receive the same power driving unit to rotate the threaded rod in a 'slow speed' for better caulking application. In the dispensing mode, the threaded rod is connected via gear-reducer to the second drive shaft which permits only slow advancement of the threaded rod for better control of the flow of caulking compound out of the caulking tube, and prevention of 'dribble' when power is turned off to the driving unit.

A dovetail fixture for clamping and holding two workpieces and for guiding a cutting tool whereby mortises are cut in one workpiece and tenons are concurrently cut in the other workpiece. The fixture includes a guide template having a plurality of spaced apart fingers formed along at least one edge of the template and defining blind-ended spaces between its adjacent fingers. As the cutting tool is moved along the edge of the template having the fingers, mortises are cut in one workpiece and tenons are cut in the other workpiece.
