Method and device for measuring flows of fluids, such as liquids and gases, flowing through a tube (16). The tube is heat-conducting and is heated at a certain location (18), with the heat on the one hand moving by way of the tube wall (17) in a direction contrary to the fluid flow (15) and on the other hand flowing off into a heat-conducting body (20) which preferably extends substantially parallel to the tube. The temperature difference between the tube wall (17) and the conducting body (20) is measured, e.g., by a thermopile (19) and is a measure of the flow gone past. The device preferably includes a thermopile (19) for carrying out the measurement.

Device for measuring pressure differences or mass portions in a fluid flow--gas or liquid--and/or for implementing processes for mixing fluids, whereby when in use the fluid flows into the device, then passes a part therein where the fluid flow is laminar and the flow measurement is made, and finally flows out of the device, whereby the device has a turbulence filter which is integrated therein, with a settling chamber behind it. The fluid then first flows through that filter, so that a laminar flow leads to the flow measuring element.

Fluid metering apparatus

Fluid flow measuring device comprising elements positioned on the outer wall of a thermally conductive measuring channel and thermally insulated from the environment by an insulating body. The sensor elements can be heated for creating temperature gradient as a function of the fluid flow rate, which temperature gradient can be converted into and electrical measuring signal using a bridge circuit. The bridge circuit comprises four sensor elements which two by two are connected in series and are positioned onto the fluid measuring channel such that of each series circuit one element is positioned on a first section of the fluid measuring channel upstream in relation to a second section of the fluid measuring channel on which the other element of the respective series circuit is positioned, whereby the downstream end of each series circuit is connected to the upstream end of the respective other series circuit, and the electrical measuring signal is available at the junctions within said series circuits. The sensor elements are formed by thin or thick film resistors or integrated semiconductors on the electrically insulating fluid measuring channel respectively on a thin insulating layer on the electrically conducting fluid measuring channel.

Fluid flow measuring device

A laminar flow element for mounting inside a fluid flow channel, which flow element is built up from flat disks which are provided with grooves running between an eccentrically made inlet opening and an outlet opening. The outer disks of a package do not have grooves and only comprise an inlet opening or an outlet opening. The inlet openings together form an inlet channel and the outlet openings together form an outlet channel. The dimensions of the grooves are such that the fluid flows laminar to the channels, formed by said grooves, between the inlet channel and the outlet channel.
