A heating muffle for a muffle kiln for the production of a dental ceramic product containing titanium, which comprises a hollow unit, which is provided with at least one opening for the uptake of the ceramic product and has completely heatable inner walls, an which can form together with a pedestal a firing chamber in which the ceramic product is heated by the inner walls, wherein the hollow unit comprises at least one spirally bent tube containing a heat conductor for a uniform heat transfer to the product and in order to avoid temperature gradients.

Device for firing ceramic for dental prostheses

The invention provides a curable system and method of making a dental prosthesis. The method of making a dental prosthesis includes providing a one component denture base resin composition which is polymerizable by microwave energy. The one component denture base resin composition is injected into a mold enclosed by a flask having a body wall which is substantially transparent to the microwave energy. The curable system includes microwave energy sensitive initiators and polymerizables (meth)acrylate Monomers having molecular weights preferably between 400 and 20,000. The initiators are adapted to initiate polymerization of the polymerizable Monomers by application of microwave energy to the flask. The initiators are adapted to remain stable and not initiate polymerization of the Monomers for at least one year at 23&deg; C. in the absence of microwave energy.

Method of making a dental prosthesis and curable system

A shaped, high-strength dental ceramic prothesis is made by pressing a molding composition comprising about 1-50 wt % glass particles and about 50-99 wt % ceramic particles to form a ceramic frame, veneering the frame and firing the coated frame.

Dental prosthesis

A process for manufacturing a non-metallic dental prosthesis including a ceramic frame and an esthetic ceramic veneer including the steps of: preparing the ceramic frame by press molding a composition comprising from 1 to 50 parts by weight glass particles and from 50 to 99 parts by weight ceramic particles at a molding temperature from 800 to 1300.degree. C.; applying a slurry comprising a dental ceramic veneering composition to the thus prepared ceramic frame; and firing the ceramic frame having the slurry applied thereto at a temperature lower than the molding temperature to produce said dental prosthesis. The dental ceramic veneering composition may have a melting point at least 50.degree. C. less than the molding temperature.

Method of manufacturing a dental prosthesis

A shaped, high-strength dental ceramic prosthesis is made by pressing a molding composition including from about 1 to 50 percent by weight glass particles and from about 99 to about 50 percent by weight inorganic oxide particles at a pressure of from about 10 to about 40 MPa and a temperature of from about 1000.degree. to about 1200.degree. C. Dental prostheses prepared in accordance with the invention include crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays.

A sagger furnace especially adapted for the dental ceramic field. The furnace has a sagger platform and a top part that closes with the sagger platform to form a closed firing chamber. The upper part is powered by a positive drive but connected to the powering means by gravity force which allows the manual opening of the furnace at any time. Also provided is a method of firing dental ceramics.
