The present application is directed to a method and system for preparing gaseous utility streams from gaseous process streams, particularly, removing oil contamination from such streams prior to use in a dry gas seal. The methods and systems may include at least one kinetic swing adsorption process including pressure swing adsorption, temperature swing adsorption, calcination, and inert purge processes to treat gaseous streams for use in dry gas seals of rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines and pumps and other utilities. The adsorbent materials used include a high surface area solid structured microporous and mesoporous materials.

Method and apparatus for removal of oil from utility gas stream

The present invention provides an improved method for manufacturing high quality porous crystalline MCM-56 material. It also relates to the MCM-56 material manufactured by the improved method, catalyst compositions comprising same and use thereof in a process for catalytic conversion of hydrocarbon compounds. One such conversion process involves production of monoalkylated aromatic compounds, particularly ethylbenzene and cumene, by the liquid or partial liquid phase alkylation of alkylatable aromatic compound, particularly benzene.

MCM-56 manufacture

A process for the manufacture of large crystal size synthetic porous crystalline molecular sieve requires an aqueous reaction mixture that is organic structure directing agent-free, has a HO/MOH molar ratio (M is an alkali metal) of 75 or less, a source of XO(X is a trivalent element) and a source of YO(Y is a tetravalent element). The source of XOand YOis an amorphous material containing both XOand YOand having a YO/XOmolar ratio of 15 to 40. The resultant highly crystalline novel materials have crystals with at least one dimension greater than 1 &#x3bc;m, such as greater than 3 &#x3bc;m.

Large crystal molecular sieves and their manufacture

This invention relates to aggregates of small particles of synthetic faujasite zeolite. Small primary particles of zeolite are clustered into larger secondary particles. The observable average width of the primary particles may be 0.3 micron or less and the observable average width of the secondary particles may be 0.8 micron or more. The silica to alumina ratio of the zeolite may be less than 4:1.

This invention relates to a crystalline molecular sieve having, in its as-synthesized form, an X-ray diffraction pattern including d-spacing maxima at 13.18&#xb1;0.25 and 12.33&#xb1;0.23 Angstroms, wherein the peak intensity of the d-spacing maximum at 13.18&#xb1;0.25 Angstroms is at least as great as 90% of the peak intensity of the d-spacing maximum at 12.33&#xb1;0.23 Angstroms.
