Content packs are provided for identifying a plurality of authorized web-based resources, wherein a web browser is configured to prevent access to web-based resources not identified by content packs installed in the web browser. Accordingly one or more of content packs are selected and installed in the web browser, and one or more featured resources are identified from a plurality of authorized web-based resources provided by the installed content packs. An account access page provided by the web browser is automatically configured with one or more access links corresponding to the one or more featured resources, with each featured resource providing a web-based entry point to one or more web-based resources made available by the installed one or more content packs.

Embodiments of the invention include a system, computer-implemented method, and a computer-readable medium for delaying the storage of data. Data that manipulates website data is provided from a web server to a client device in response to a request for a webpage. Data is initially stored in a temporary memory storage. The temporary memory storage is associated with a browser and stores data before data is moved to a persistent memory storage. A notification is generated that indicates that data was received and is intended to be stored persistently or manipulate, access or rely on website data in the persistent memory storage. Depending on the response to the notification, the system determines how data in temporary memory storage will be processed and whether data can be stored in the persistent memory storage or manipulate, access and rely on website data in the persistent memory storage.

A browser provides the cookie description file that includes meta-information associated with cookies that are associated with a domain. The meta-information includes cookie information specific to each cookie. The cookie description file is parsed and the meta-information associated with each cookie is extracted. The parsed meta-information is displayed in a user-readable format on a client device.

A method of providing search results may include receiving a query including search parameters from a client, executing a search of a database based on the search parameters to obtain search results, determining whether one or more of the search results support take-down functionality, appending an indicator to one or more of the search results support take-down functionality, and providing the search results to the client with the appended graphical indicator corresponding to those search results that support take-down functionality. Further, the determining whether the one or more search results support take-down functionality may include obtaining an identifier of the one or more search results, adding a predefined code to the identifier, and determining whether the identifier with the added predefined code is a valid identifier of a resource provided by the same provider that provides the one or more search results.
