A method of detecting a urine test strip from a photographed image of the urine test strip is disclosed. The disclosed method of detecting a urine test strip includes: receiving input of a urine test strip image, which is a photographed image of a urine test strip including a first and a second marker; detecting a first and a second marker image within the urine test strip image; detecting an area between the first and second marker images within the urine test strip image; and detecting a reagent pad and a colorimetric table in the urine test strip image by matching an area of interest, which represents a position of the reagent pad and the colorimetric table in the urine test strip image, with the area between the first and second marker images.

Disclosed are an apparatus and method for measuring traffic of moving objects by analyzing an image expressed in a spatiotemporal domain. The traffic measuring apparatus includes a feature extraction unit that sets a virtual measurement line in an input image, generates a spatiotemporal domain image expressing the input image in a spatiotemporal domain based on the virtual measurement line, and extracts image features from the spatiotemporal domain image, and a traffic estimation unit that estimates the number of objects passing the virtual measurement line by accumulating the image features over time. Accordingly, the traffic measuring apparatus may accurately measure in real-time the traffic of objects such as pedestrians through analysis of the input image so as to be utilized in a variety of fields.

Steel bridge coating inspection system using image processing and the processing method for the same

A method of extracting information parts, and a recorded medium recording the method, for retrieving image sequence data are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, image frames included in an image sequence are converted to frames, in a quantity of n, including only the object that is separated from a background, and the corresponding shape descriptors, in a quantity of n, are extracted. The shape descriptors, in a quantity of n, are aligned according to a temporal order, to generate a shape sequence, which is frequency-converted along the time axis to obtain conversion coefficients having frequency information. Using coefficients in a low frequency area among the obtained conversion coefficients, a shape sequence descriptor is extracted. With this invention, video data expressing the motion of an object can be captured as an image sequence, and the similarity between video data can be distinguished by extracting information parts from each image sequence.

The present invention relates to method for processing color image on image processing system. The method for processing color image on image processing system includes the steps of: extracting from the color image hue, luminance and saturation which are the factors of the color image; setting the saturation factor as predetermined constant by normalizing the saturation factor; transforming the color image into complex number using the hue factor and luminance factor. Accordingly, an image processing system can reduce the load of color image processing by way of present invention that reduces the redundancy between the factors of color images through transforming the three factors of the color image into complex number.
