A system for recording event data of an autonomous vehicle is disclosed. The present disclosure suggests an EDR system operation scheme suitable for properly investigating the cause of a vehicle accident. Subsystems of an autonomous driving control system may determine whether an event satisfying a preconfigured condition has occurred, and send to an EDR system a trigger signal to trigger recording of data elements related to the event when the occurrence of the event is detected. The EDR system may record data elements that are useful to reconstruct a map of an external environment surrounding an autonomous vehicle at the time of the occurrence of the event or to reconstruct an internal environment of the vehicle.

A video decoding method, a video encoding method, and a method of transmitting a bitstream containing encoded video data are disclosed. The methods include determining first and second reference pictures and first and second motion vectors for bi-prediction by decoding a bitstream; generating a first reference block from the first reference picture referenced by the first motion vector and generating a second reference block from the second reference picture referenced by the second motion vector; and generating a prediction block of the target block using the first and second reference blocks. A video encoding or decoding apparatus and method perform existing inter prediction on a current block to generate a motion vector and predicted samples. The video encoding or decoding apparatus and method generate enhanced predicted samples for the current block using a deep learning-based video prediction network (VPN) on the basis of the motion vector, the reference samples, the predicted samples, and the like to improve encoding efficiency.

A method and an apparatus are configured for intra prediction coding of video data. An apparatus for decoding video data includes: a decoding unit which obtains, from a bitstream, information on a luma prediction mode and information on a chroma prediction mode of a current coding block; and an intra prediction unit which generates luma prediction samples and chroma prediction samples of the current coding block. The intra prediction unit derives a luma intra prediction type and a luma intra prediction mode of the current coding block on the basis of the information on the luma prediction mode, and determines a chroma intra prediction mode of the current coding block on the basis of the luma intra prediction type and the luma intra prediction mode of the current coding block, and the information on the chroma prediction mode.
