A bearing support includes a squirrel cage including a fenestrated portion with a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart windows defined therethrough. A bearing support cage inboard of the squirrel cage defines a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart windows therethrough. The bearing support cage is operatively connected to the squirrel cage to support a bearing from within the squirrel cage.

Bearing supports

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for bearings in a gas turbine engine. A bearing system may include a squirrel cage and a bearing support cage coupled to the squirrel cage. The bearing support cage may include an outer race and a fenestrated cone. The bearing support cage may include a support cage anti-rotation tab adjacent to the outer race. The bearing system may include a housing coupled to the squirrel cage. The housing may include a housing anti-rotation tab. The support cage anti-rotation tab and the housing anti-rotation tab may prevent the bearing system from twisting.

Systems and methods for engine bearings

An oil level sensor assembly for an oil tank includes a cell with a first set of holes along the cell, an oil level sensor within the cell that is configured to be inserted into and removed from a bottom of the cell, and a ball valve column within the cell and adjacent to the oil level sensor. The ball valve column is rotatable, has ball valves that correspond with the first set of holes along the cell, and is configured such that the ball valve column is rotatable to an open position aligning the ball valves with the first set of holes to allow oil to access the oil level sensor and rotatable to a closed position misaligning the ball valves with the first set of holes to prevent oil from accessing the oil level sensor.
