Systems and techniques are described for providing a virtual interface for an XR device using a display interface device. A display interface device can display a landmark pattern, such as a quick response (QR) code, on its display. The display can be in the field of view of a camera of the XR device, so that camera captures images depicting the displayed landmark pattern. The XR device can generate, and display on its own display, output images based on the captured images, for instance by overlaying a virtual interface over the landmark pattern. The pose and/or size of the virtual interface in the output images can be based on the pose and/or size of the landmark pattern and/or display in the captured images. The display interface device can receive inputs through its display interface, such as touch-based inputs, which the display interface device can identify for the XR device.

Remote landmark rendering for extended reality interfaces

Systems and techniques for combining images captured by two or more image sensors are disclosed. For example, a method can include obtaining a first image of a scene from a first image sensor of a first device. The method can include obtaining a second image including at least a portion of the scene from a second image sensor of a second device. The second image is transmitted over a communications link. The method can include determining a localization between the first device and the second device based on a relative pose between the first device and the second device. The method can include normalizing one or more image properties between the first image and the second image. The method can include generating, based on the localization and normalizing the one or more image properties, a third image based on the first image and the second image.

Aperture fusion with separate devices

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for low power, variable focus. An example method can include obtaining, based on a trigger, a first image of a scene captured by an image sensor, the first image being captured with a lens of the image sensor in a first configuration of a plurality of available lens configurations; determining, based on the first image and a first detection result, whether an object of interest is present in the first image; in response to determining that the object of interest is not present in the first image, adjusting the lens to a second configuration selected from the plurality of lens configurations; obtaining, by the image sensor, a second image of the scene while the lens is in the second configuration; and determining, based on the second image and a second detection result, that the object of interest is present in the second image.

Systems, methods, and non-transitory media are provided for extended reality (XR) control of smart devices. An example method can include generating, by a first computing device, a cryptographic key; outputting, by the first computing device, a pattern that encodes the cryptographic key, the pattern including a visual pattern, an audio pattern, and/or a light pattern; receiving, by the first computing device from a second computing device, a signed message including a command to modify an operation of the first computing device; determining, by the first computing device, whether the signed message is signed with the cryptographic key encoded in the pattern; and based on a determination that the signed message is signed with the cryptographic key encoded in the pattern, modifying the operation of the first computing device according to the command in the signed message.

Extended reality control of smart devices

Systems and techniques are provided for coordinating multi-user experiences. For example, a process can include obtaining a plurality of settings associated with a plurality of multi-user experience participants. The plurality of settings includes one or more arbitrated settings and one or more non-arbitrated settings. The process can include arbitrating, by a settings arbitration engine, the one or more arbitrated settings to generate one or more adjusted settings for each arbitrated setting. The process can include generating, by an experience adaptation engine, an adapted multi-user experience, wherein the adapted multi-user experience is configured to enforce the one or more adjusted settings for each arbitrated setting.

An example method can include receiving, by an extended reality (XR) device, an identification output from a connected device that is coupled directly or indirectly to the XR device, the identification output including an audio pattern, a display pattern, and/or a light pattern; detecting the identification output from the connected device; and based on the identification output from the connected device, mapping the connected device in a coordinate system of the XR device.

Systems and techniques are described for token device transfer management. A system identifies, in a payload of at least one block of a distributed ledger, a token corresponding to media content. A parameter of the token in the distributed ledger indicates that the token is associated with a first user. The system identifies a device that is associated with the token and the media content. The device is also associated with the first user. The system identifies that the device has been relocated to an area associated with a second user. In response to identifying that the device has been relocated to the area, the system causes the parameter of the token in the distributed ledger to be modified from indicating that the token is associated with the first user to indicating that the token is associated with the second user.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for providing pose estimation in extended reality systems. An example method can include tracking, in a lower-power processing mode using a set of lower-power circuit elements on an integrated circuit, a position and orientation of a computing device during a lower-power processing period, the set of lower-power circuit elements including a static random-access memory (SRAM); suspending, based on a triggering event, the tracking in the lower-power processing mode; initiating a higher-power processing mode for tracking the position and orientation of the computing device during a higher-power processing period; and tracking, in the higher-power processing mode using a set of higher-power circuit elements on the integrated circuit and a dynamic random-access memory (DRAM), the position and orientation of the computing device during the higher-power processing period.

Systems and techniques are provided for processing one or more frames. For example, a process can include obtaining a first plurality of frames associated with a first settings domain from an image capture system, wherein the first plurality of frames is captured prior to obtaining a capture input. The process can include obtaining a reference frame associated with a second settings domain from the image capture system, wherein the reference frame is captured proximate to obtaining the capture input. The process can include obtaining a second plurality of frames associated with the second settings domain from the image capture system, wherein the second plurality of frames is captured after the reference frame. The process can include, based on the reference frame, transforming at least a portion of the first plurality of frames to generate a transformed plurality of frames associated with the second settings domain.

Systems and techniques are described for situational token-associated media output. A system receives sensor data captured by at least one sensor of a media device. The system identifies, based on the sensor data, a relationship between the media device and an anchor element that is associated with a token. The system identifies the token in a payload of at least one block of a distributed ledger. The token corresponds to media content according to the distributed ledger. The system generates a representation of the media content corresponding to the token. In response to identifying the relationship between the media device and the anchor element, the system outputs the representation of the media content.

Aspects presented herein relate to methods, devices, and apparatuses for display processing. The apparatus may obtain a first intensity map associated with first luminance information for a scene. The apparatus may also configure a second intensity map based on the first intensity map and at least one coordinate frame from a perspective of a user of a device for display content associated with the scene. The apparatus may also determine whether luminance information for at least one region in the second intensity map is within a suitable luminance range for the display content associated with the scene. The apparatus may also process a set of pixels corresponding to a section in a display associated with the at least one region based on the luminance information being at least one of: within the suitable luminance range, outside of the suitable luminance range, or within an indistinguishable luminance range.
