A support member is provided for a playground apparatus such as a sliding board fabricated of plastic or similar material. The support member includes a support such as a post and a game or interactive game pieces. The support is a post centrally disposed among the interactive game pieces or may be any similar or equivalent structure. The game pieces include three drum shaped sections rotatably joined along their axes to form a canister shaped composite piece. The drum sections are be decorated or otherwise adorned for use as game pieces. A plurality of the composite canister pieces are then be disposed about a centrally positioned support member.

The present invention is a recreation deck. The recreation deck has a plurality of posts which support a platform. The supported platform defines a center, and has a load-bearing member independent of the posts. The load bearing member connects to and supports the platform at the center.

A playground shuttle device includes a track having an upper surface and a lower surface and a support structure connected to and supporting the track. The shuttle device includes a shuttle having a housing defining a chamber through which the track traverses and a transport assembly carried by the housing. The transport assembly includes a plurality of wheels rotatably mounted thereto and positioned so as to ride along the upper surface of the track. The transport assembly includes a brake assembly operably connected thereto by a biasing element. The brake assembly includes at least one brake element that is engagable with the track. The brake assembly is movable relative to the transport assembly between a brake position wherein the brake element engages the track and a free-roll position wherein the brake element is disengaged from the track. When a force is applied to the brake assembly against the biasing element, the brake elements are disengaged from the track to move the shuttle to the free-roll position. Removal of the force from the brake assembly engages the brake element with the track to move the shuttle to the brake position.

A molded, two-surface, reversible slide, includes first and second elongated sliding surfaces. Each of the sliding surfaces has a bottom portion defining a generally, concave cross-sectional shape, and is elongated in a direction transverse to the concave cross-section. Each surface has a pair of side walls extending from its respective bottom portion. The reversible configuration is effected by first and second sliding surfaces which are in a back-to-back relation with one another. The side walls of the first surface are formed contiguous with a respective one of the side walls of the second sliding surface, defining first and second outer walls. The slide may be used as part of a slide system which includes a slide support structure and one or more slides.
