An organic liquid sensor configured to output a signal corresponding to the presence of one or more organic liquids is provided. The sensor includes a circuit board, a sensor film deposited on the circuit board, the sensor film including a first length, a second length, and a bridge portion, the first length and the second length being electrically separated by a gap and the bridge portion being electrically coupled to the first length and the second length. The circuit board is configured to detect a resistance of the sensor film.

Rail

A mounting rail is provided that includes a DIN rail and one or more heating cable channels. A channel defined by the DIN rail may include one of the heating cable channels. Heating cables may be installed in the heating cable channels using adhesive and/or heat transfer material to form an electronics heating module. The heating cables may be self-regulating heating cables. The mounting rail may include multiple heat transfer fins that transfer heat generated by the heating cables to environment surrounding the mounting rail. A terminal block may be mounted on the DIN rail and may supply electric power to the heating cables.

Apparatus for electronic component and heating cable mounting

A deicing system may include one or more walkway cassettes, a temperature control element, and a control unit. Each walkway cassette may include a casing and a heat tracing; cable in good thermal contact with the casing. The temperature control element may include a comparatively smaller casing and a heat tracing cable in good thermal contact with the casing, and may exhibit similar heat loss characteristics to the walkway cassettes. The temperature control element may include a temperature sensor on a top surface of its casing, which may generate temperature data and send the temperature data to the control unit. The control unit may provide power to the temperature control element and the walkway cassette(s) in parallel based on the temperature data. The temperature control element may be placed in proximity to the walkway cassette(s), and may be exposed to substantially the same environmental conditions as the walkway cassettes.

A deicing cassette for connection to a substrate is provided. The deicing cassette includes a panel having a top, an underside, and a plurality of edges, the top of the panel configured as a walking surface. The deicing cassette further includes a heating system secured in thermal contact with the underside of the panel. Additionally, the deicing cassette includes a polymeric support system fastened to at least one edge of the panel and configured to support the panel and provide the panel at least one of thermal insulation or galvanic insulation from the substrate.

An installation tool and methods for installing a splice kit for a heating cable is provided. The installation tool includes a body, a first channel, and a first cavity. The first channel is defined in the body and configured to retain a first insulating tubing of the splice kit. The first cavity is within the first channel and configured to retain a first connector of the splice kit. The body is configured to retain the first insulating tubing and the first connector in a predetermined formation during installation of the first insulating tubing and the first connector to the heating cable, and the body is further configured to be removed from the first insulating tubing and the first connector following installation of the first insulating tubing and the first connector to the heating cable.

A semiconductive jacket contacts the inner surface of the heat tube, where the charge density of the return current carried by the heat tube is at its highest. The semiconductive jacket material has a resistivity that is sufficiently low to reduce or eliminate arcing events such as corona discharge by allowing accumulated charge on the heat tube to dissipate. The resistivity is also high enough to prevent the return current from flowing into or through the semiconductive outer layer, so that heat production capacity of the system is maximized.

A cable sealing gland and method for securing a cable to an enclosure. The cable sealing gland includes a gland connector configured to be coupled to the cable, having a cable gland body sized to fit over the cable and including a first end sized to remain outside the enclosure when the gland connector is inserted through a hole of the enclosure and a second end sized to extend into an interior of the enclosure when the gland connector is inserted through the hole. The gland connector also includes a ferrule sized to fit inside the cable gland body, and a compression bolt configured to engage the cable gland body to compress the ferrule onto the cable. The cable sealing gland also includes a locknut configured to engage the cable gland body to couple the gland connector to the enclosure.
