In the process for the preparation of 2-substituted 1-(acylaminoalkyl)-2-imidazolines of the general formula I ##STR1## wherein R denotes an alkylene radical and R.sup.1 denotes a fatty acid radical, for example, a fatty acid and a dialkylenetriamine are reacted in a molar ratio of (1.9 to 2.0): 1 in such a way that the dialkylenetriamine is initially introduced hot under an inert gas atmosphere and the fatty acid is metered in hot and the amido amine formation is subsequently completed by heating to temperatures from 140.degree. to 190.degree. C. and the cyclization to the compound of the formula I is subsequently carried out at an under-pressure of at least 50 mbar.

Process for the preparation of 2-substituted

A process for the continuous production of C.sub.7 -Cl.sub.2 -acyloxybenzenesulfonic acids, wherein phenol and a sulfonating reagent, diluted with an aliphatic C.sub.7 -Cl.sub.2 -carboxylic acid, is charged to the top of a continuous-flow reactor heated to 80.degree.-100.degree. and the mixture of phenolsulfonic acid and the aliphatic carboxylic acid, leaving the bottom end of this continuous-flow reactor, and a chlorinating reagent are charged to the top of a second continuous-flow reactor, nitrogen being passed in counter-current through both continuous-flow reactors.

Continuous process for the production of acyloxybenzenesulfonic acids

A process for the continuous preparation of diacetyl ethylene diamine, w hich comprises allowing a mixture of ethylene diamine and acetic acid to react in a low-temperature zone at a temperature of about 80.degree. to 140.degree. C., completing the reaction of the mixture in a subsequent high-temperature zone of from about 140.degree. to 215.degree. C., discharging the diacetyl ethylene diamine obtained at the end of the high-temperature zone and stripping the reaction water in countercurrent flow by an inert gas at a point located between the low-temperature and the high-temperature zone.

Process for the preparation of alkaline earth metal salts of alkyl benzene sulfonic acids by the neutralization of alkyl benzenesulfonic acids, which comprises neutralizing the alkyl benzene sulfonic acid with the necessary amount of a basic alkaline earth metal compound in an inert organic solvent and in the presence of 1 to 10% by weight of an oxalkylate, calculated on the weight of the alkyl benzene sulfonic acid.
