The invention relates to a device and to a method for controlling a coupling system having a coupling provided with a hydraulic actuation system, which includes an adjustable coupling part for connecting and separating a power transmission path between a coupling input side and a coupling output side, a hydraulic connection that connects the actuation unit to an electrohydraulic actuator that is arranged outside the coupling, and a control unit for controlling the actuator. The hydraulic connection forms a hydraulic system together with hydraulic components of the actuation unit and the actuator. According to the invention, a mechanical stop that delimits the adjustment of the coupling part on the actuation unit is formed. A pressure sensor monitors the pressure in the hydraulic system or a control signal of the actuator. The pressure sensor detects an installation of the coupling part on the stop based on occurring characteristic alterations of the pressure in the hydraulic connection or the control signal and controls the electrohydraulic actuator in accordance therewith and/or produces a diagnosis signal.

Clutch system and method for controlling a clutch system

A control device for a restraining system in a motor vehicle is proposed, a safety switch, which also includes a watchdog, performing the function of a safety switch in the control device. The safety switch monitors sensor signals which are transmitted to the processor of the control device for plausibility and triggers appropriate restraining systems via a time unit for a predefined time period only when the safety switch itself detects a trigger event. On the basis of supplementary data from the sensor signals, the safety switch infers how the sensor signals are to be processed. The safety switch is designed such that it triggers the restraining systems correspondingly assigned to the sensors. When the control device is switched on, the processor performs a test of the safety switch by generating a test signal using the sensors.

Control device for a restraining system in a motor vehicle

A processing circuit has a computing cycle divided into several subcycles of uniform duration. The time base values of the last three nulls of a square wave signal produced from the sinusoidal signal of a wheel speed sensor are stored in a register with three places. At the beginning of a subcycle the difference D of the latest and of the oldest time base values stored in the register is formed and in some cases after limiting is converted to a value 1/D and stored, while the previously stored oldest value is erased. At the start of a new computing cycle the stored value 1/D is further processed as the new wheel speed.

Wheel slippage control system

An electronic device includes an acceleration-sensitive sensor, an electronic circuit arrangement for analyzing the output signal from the sensor, an ignition output element, an ignition element, and a safety device for the vehicle's occupants. To test the operating readiness of the ignition element, an oscillator circuit is also provided, which applies an output signal to the ignition element. The resulting voltage drop obtained across the ignition element is compared by means of a window comparator to threshold values.

Electronic device

In an electronic safety device for vehicle occupants including an acceleration-sensitive sensor, a control unit, and a plurality of inertial restraining devices with associated output stages, a reliable operating mode is guaranteed for the safety device by storing characteristic fault conditions, together with control strategies compensating for these fault conditions. In the event of a fault, the safety device applies the respective, assigned control strategy to activate the restraining devices.
