A gear unit having a drive element with a first tooth structure, an output element with a second tooth structure, wherein the tooth structures are able to be brought into engagement cogging with each other to form a gearing in at least one engagement area of the second tooth structure. The output element has at least one uncoupling area, in which the cogging engagement of the gearing is uncoupled. The first tooth structure has at least one first modified tooth element and the second tooth structure has at least one second modified tooth element wherein by a movement of the drive element, synchronization of the second modified tooth element with the first modified tooth element is possible in order to create a change from the uncoupled state to the engagement state.

Gear unit with a lag function

The invention relates to a locking device for the locking and/or unlocking of a component essential for the function of a vehicle with a casing, which more preferably serves for the fastening of the locking device to the component essential for the function and a moveable locking member, which can assume at least two positions, namely a locking position, in which the locking member protrudes from the casing through an opening and is actively connected with the component essentially for the function and an unlocking position, in which the locking member is not actively connected with the component essential for the function and an arresting part which in an arresting position arrests the locking member in the locking position in the event that the locking device is opened without authorization. To this end it is provided according to the invention that the arresting part is positively held in the arresting position.

Locking device with arresting part

A device for blocking the steering shaft of a motor vehicle against rotation by a locking bolt which can be axially moved back and forth between locked and released positions via a two-directionally rotatable control member, and comprises a locking element and an actuating element. The control member surrounds the actuating element and has two helically extending interior grooves and a planar end surface adjoining the grooves and extending perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the control member. A transverse pin axially displaced in the actuating element cooperates with the grooves and the end surface. A helical compression spring is supported on the actuating element via a plunger having an oblong hole through which the transverse pin extends, and which plunger can be axially displaced in the actuating element by a stop so that the helical compression spring presses the transverse pin against the end surface via the locking element and the actuating element in the released position of the locking bolt.
