An austenitic steel for hydrogen technology has the following composition:

Reduced cost steel for hydrogen technology with high resistance to hydrogen-induced embrittlement

A corrosion-resistant, hot and cold formable and weldable steel for use in hydrogen-induced technology with high resistance to hydrogen embrittlement has the following composition: 0.01 to 0.4 percent by mass of carbon, &#x2264;3.0 percent by mass of silicon, 0.3 to 30 percent by mass of manganese, 10.5 to 30 percent by mass of chromium, 4 to 12.5 percent by mass of nickel, &#x2264;1.0 percent by mass of molybdenum, &#x2264;0.2 percent by mass of nitrogen, 0.5 to 8.0 percent by mass of aluminum, &#x2264;4.0 percent by mass of copper, &#x2264;0.1 percent by mass of boron, &#x2264;1.0 percent by mass of tungsten, &#x2264;5.0 percent by mass of cobalt, &#x2264;0.5 percent by mass of tantalum, &#x2264;2.0 percent by mass of at least one of the elements: niobium, titanium, vanadium, hafnium and zirconium, &#x2264;0.3 percent by mass of at least one of the elements: yttrium, scandium, lanthanum, cerium and neodymium, the remainder being iron and smelting-related steel companion elements.

Cost reduced steel for hydrogen technology with high resistance to hydrogen-induced embrittlement

An iron-chromium-aluminum alloy with improved heat resistance, low chromium vaporization rate and good processability, comprising (in % by mass), 2.0 to 4.5% Al, 12 to 25% Cr, 1.0 to 4% W, 0.25 to 2.0% Nb, 0.05 to 1.2% Si, 0.001 to 0.70% Mn, 0.001 to 0.030% C, 0.0001 to 0.05% Mg, 0.0001 to 0.03% Ca, 0.001 to 0.030% P, max. 0.03% N, max. 0.01% S, remainder iron and the usual melting-related impurities.

Heat-resistant iron-chromium-aluminum alloy with low chromium vaporization rate and elevated thermal stability

A wear-resistant material comprising an alloy that contains: 1.5-5.5 wt. % carbon, 0.1-2.0 wt. % silicon, max. 2.0 wt. % manganese, 3.5-30.0 wt. % chromium, 0.3-10 wt. % molybdenum, 0-10 wt. % tungsten, 0.1-30 wt. % vanadium, 0-12 wt. % niobium, 0.1-12 wt. % titanium and 1.3-3.5 wt. % nickel, the remainder being comprised of iron and production-related impurities, whereby the carbon content fulfills the following condition:CAlloy[w %]=S1+S2+S3where S1=(Nb+2(Ti+V&#x2212;0.9))/a, S2=(Mo+W/2+Cr&#x2212;b)/5, S3=c+(TH&#x2212;900)&#xb7;0.0025, where 7&#x3c;a&#x3c;9, 6&#x3c;b&#x3c;8, 0.3&#x3c;c&#x3c;0.5 and 900&#xb0; C.&#x3c;TH&#x3c;1,220&#xb0; C.

Powder-metallurgically produced, wear-resistant material

A wear-resistant material which comprises certain concentrations of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, niobium/tantalum as well as other metallic elements. The material comprises a metal matrix and hard phases embedded therein. The hard phases comprise one or more of carbides, nitrides, carbonitrides, and oxide carbonitrides and have a diameter of from about 0.2 &#x3bc;m to about 50 &#x3bc;m.
