The invention relates to a floor drain () comprising an elongate housing (), said housing having a base wall (), two side walls () extending in a longitudinal direction, two end walls () connecting the side walls () to one another, and a ceiling wall () provided with an elongate inlet opening () extending in the longitudinal direction (L), and further comprising an outflow connection piece () extending outwardly from the base wall () or one of the side walls () or one of the end walls () for the connection of a drain tube, wherein the inlet opening () ends in each case at a distance to the front-side ends of the ceiling wall () and at a distance to at least one of the side walls (), so that a receiving flange surrounding the inlet opening () is formed, on which a sealing gasket () is or can be attached.

The present invention relates to a method for laying tiles () on a laying substrate, in which, initially, tile adhesive () is applied to the laying substrate and the tiles () are subsequently laid in the tile adhesive (), characterized in that, before applying the tile adhesive () to the laying surface, leveling strips () of the same height are affixed so that the top faces of the leveling strips () lie in a common reference plane, and in that the tile adhesive () is applied between the leveling strips () with some protrusion which is then, using a screeding board () guided along the top faces of the leveling strips (), removed down to the level of the reference plane, generating a flat tile adhesive layer ().

Method for laying tiles

A floor construction covered with ceramic tiles, in which a film-like plastic mat having support elements disposed in a uniform area distribution, hollow towards the underside, capable of support, projecting out beyond the top of the mat, is applied on the sub-floor. Channels carrying open water are formed between the support elements, and a water-permeable or vapor-permeable covering in the manner of a non-woven fabric or woven fabric is disposed on the support elements. The plastic mat is embedded and attached, supported in a still soft, hardening thin-bed mortar layer on the sub-floor, over its full area, in the region of its lower contact surfaces. The ceramic tiles are laid and attached on the covering in the manner of a non-woven fabric, directly, with a thin-bed mortar layer.
