The strand guiding device is designed for a circular braiding machine having a braiding point (,) and a first spool (,) for a first strand (,) fed to said braiding point (,). The strand guiding device for strand guiding includes a guide part or guide device (,) for the first strand arranged between the first spool (,) and the braiding point (,), which is movable back and forth to cross the first strand (,) over at least one second strand (,) coming from a respective second spool (,) so that a length of a section of the first strand (,) between the first spool and the braiding point (,) continuously changes, and a device for compensating changes in the length of that section. The device for compensating includes at least one movable guide element (,) for the first strand (,) arranged between the first spool (,) and the guide part or guide device (,) and a positive guiding device (,) for moving the at least one movable guide element (,), whereby the length changes are at least partially compensated by motions of the at least one movable guide element. A circular braiding machine is also described which is equipped with this type of strand length change compensating device.

The circular braiding machine includes an inner and outer group of spools (31,38) arranged on a circular track coaxial with a rotation axis (1); a drive device (9-11, 17, 29, 42-45) for rotating the groups in opposite directions (r,s) around the circular track; strand guide members (48) for guiding strands (37) from one of the groups at a location between that group and a braiding point (35) so as to braid the strands, these strand guide members (48) being mounted to reciprocate along guideways (78) while keeping a constant distance from the braiding point (35); and a device for reciprocating the strand guide members (48) along the guideways (78), which operates synchronously with the drive device and which includes pivotally connected levers (73,77) for coupling the at least one strand guide member with the drive device, at least one rotatable crank device. (68, 69) coupled with the levers (73, 77) and an elliptical gear device (63, 67) coupled with the crank device (68, 69) for rotating the crank device (68, 69) so that the angular velocity of the crank device (68,69) is not constant and is smaller in regions corresponding to the turning points of the at least one strand guide member than a corresponding constant angular velocity of the crank device.

The invention relates to a circular braiding machine with two groups of spools (31, 38) circulating about an axis of rotation (1) on a circular path in opposite directions of rotation, the spools carrying strands (32, 37) for braiding a braided material (36) at a braiding point (35). In order to cross the strands (32, 37) in the manner characteristic of the braid (e.g. '2 over-2 under') there serve strand guide members (48) which are mounted to reciprocate on guide tracks (49) arranged substantially radially relative to the axis of rotation (1), as well as levers (50) which are arranged substantially in the extensions of the guide tracks (49) and are articulated in the manner of connecting rods at one end to the strand guide members (48) and at the other end to rotating crank levers (52).

A draw-off device for taking down flexible goods with a steplessly adjustable draw-off tension from a machine producing or processing the goods, the draw-off device has at least one draw-off roller, a drive source, and a V-belt transmission connecting the draw-off roller and the drive source for driving the draw-off roller, the transmission comprising a V-belt pulley having two conical flanges, at least one of the flanges being mounted so as to be axially movable so as to alter an effective diameter of the V-belt pulley, the at least one movable flange being biased by spring force in direction of the other of the flanges, a V-shaped belt at least partially wrapping the V-belt pulley, at least one tensioning roller for and at least partially wrapped by the V-belt, a unit for adjusting the tensioning roller in a preselected position in order to adjust the take-down tension to a preselected value by a respective displacement of the at least one movable flange, and a locking unit for holding the tensioning roller in the preselected position.

A circular knitting machine has a needle cylinder (7) and a dial (25) which define a comb distance (x). One of these two needle carriers and a respective cam (9, 27) are displaceably supported in a frame of the circular knitting machine. To prevent unwanted changes in the comb distance during temperature fluctuations, a compensating structural component part (30) is provided which is coupled with the displaceable needle carrier, usually the dial and the cam assigned to the latter and constructed and arranged in such a way that the unwanted changes in the comb distance are compensated for automatically by correspondingly dimensioned thermal expansion or upsetting of the compensating structural component part.

A circular knitting machine has a rotatable needle cylinder, a supporting plate rotating synchronously with the needle cylinder, and a product drawing off and winding device. The device includes a roll bar arranged to support a product roll and provided with a bearing part which is displaceable for arranging a finished product roll, a roll bar magazine for supplying roll bars to the bearing part, a drawing off roller, a cutting unit movable substantially parallel to the drawing off roller, a drive unit for driving the roll bar and having a drive shaft which abuts against a product roll and turns parallel thereto. The bearing part has a bearing support which is turnable for ejecting a product roll and has an open fork-shaped bearing trough supporting ends of the roll bar. A guiding element is articulately connected with the supporting plate and extends inclinedly downwardly til over the roll bar outwardly. The guiding element extends over a whole width of a product roll and abuts with a pre-stress against the latter. It is freely turnable til the supporting plate.
