The invention relates to an automatic lubricating pump () for a machine having a hydraulically actuated striking tool (), such as a hydraulic hammer for example. The lubricating pump () is designed such that it can be connected to a pressure line (P) of the hydraulic circuit (). The lubricating pump () has a drive piston (), designed such that it can be driven by the hydraulic circuit, and a feed piston, connected to the drive piston in a motion-transmitting manner, of a feed pump (), by means of which lubricant is fed to a lubricating point. The service life of the lubricating pump can be prolonged compared with conventional pumps if the drive piston () is designed to be double-acting with two drive chambers () and a hydraulically operable changeover member () is provided which can be engaged in the hydraulic circuit and by means of which the drive chambers () can be alternately and automatically connected to the pressure line () during operation.

Lubricating pump with double-acting drive piston

A lubricant supply limiting device (1') for a lubrication system, wherein at least one fixed throttle (F) and a servo pressure controller (3) provided with a variable throttle (D) are disposed in the flow path, and wherein an adjustment member (6') for the variable throttle (D) is subjected to the resilient action of an actuator, is provided with a proportional solenoid (15) acting as the actuator for selectively adjusting the lubricant flow to the demand at specified lubrication points. A proportional solenoid (15) is moreover advantageous for general use in servo pressure controllers to act on the adjustment member thereof in a manner permitting the pressure differential maintained by the servo pressure controller and determined by a fixed throttle to be varied. In a lubrication system, a supply limiting device controlled by a proportional solenoid (15) is included in a control circuit in which a current control device (52) is operable to vary the current supply to the proportional solenoid (15) in response to demand at specified lubrication points. Alternatively the supply limiting device including the proportional solenoid may be incorporated in a closed control circuit in which the current supply to the proportional solenoid (15) is automatically controlled by means of a current control device (61) in accordance with the actual lubricant flow and a reference value related to specified lubrication points.

In a device for the dosing of lubricants which comprises at least one manual throttling element limiting the volume flow and a flow metering device connected downstream of it, which contains at least one sensor element movable through the volume flow, a dynamic flow metering means (M) is connected downstream in the manual throttling element (D) whose sensor element (S) moves also after the reaching of the nominal volume flow and a display means (A) is provided on the dynamic flow metering device (M), which represents the actual volume flow from the movement of the sensor element (S).

Device for the dosing of lubricants

The invention relates to a progressive distributor for lubricants, comprising at least two distributor sections each including a double piston guided in a cylinder chamber for reciprocating therein between two end positions, a supply passage, and a number of passages interconnecting adjacent cylinder chambers as well as the first cylinder chamber and the last cylinder chamber in a common plane and leading to discharge outlets, the two end sections of each cylinder chamber acting alternately as a pressure chamber for pressurizing the respective piston and as a metering chamber for metering the lubricant. In known progressive distributors having cylinder chambers disposed in a common plane, the presence of entrapped air particularly in the long passages interconnecting the first and last cylinder chambers frequently prevents the lubricant from being properly discharged. In accordance with the invention this disadvantage is eliminated by the provision that of said number of passages at least the ones interconnecting the first cylinder chamber and the last cylinder chamber in the common plane is formed over part of its length by two juxtaposed branch passages provided with closure elements therein arranged to close in opposite directions of flow, the closure elements being disposed closely adjacent to or in the metering chamber formed by the respective end section of the cylinder chamber.
